Misery, it's all she could feel. This wasn't what she wanted. She had never asked for this kind of life.

Born into a crappy life, with a horrible future and nothing to save herself with.

Was it so bad to wish for a normal life, without a perverted older brother, and a life of perverts and threats of death? What did she do to deserve this, she couldn't have been a bad kid, all kids had moments.

Was this a punishment, a test?

Lily sat in her desk of her last period and focused on her own thoughts.

Why bring in an innocent kid? What did he do?

"Lily. Care to explain?"

She looked at the board and read through the words.

"An emotions is what you feel. It's the different sensations you'll experience in different circumstances."

"Very . . Good." Lily turned back into her head.

What was this about? The end of the world was a myth. But of course so were werewolves.

She'd love to say Owen made it up, but she'd seen too much to think that now.

Owen's battle, it had nothing to do with her. Yet here she is, barging into other peoples business and getting herself in trouble.

The bell rang and Lily stood up. The teacher slipped out of the room, like always, and Lily piled her stuff together. The sound of the door opening and being forced closed made her look up.

"We're alone." Jacen said.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"An explanation. Start talking."

"So you know nothing." Jacen said as he sat on the desk.

"Pretty much." He nodded.

"So Owen is the one I need?"

"Don't even try it, he wants to feed you to the demon." Jace shrugged and shuddered.

"No thank you." He looked at her. "So why are you involved? You know nothing."

"It's not as simple as knowledge, more loyalty. He's my friend, I can't help but try and help."

"Your going to get hurt."

"I'll be fine." She whispered. "I always am."

"Look, I'm not sure why, but Im involved now, so, let me help."

"Your human and imprinted to a demon. I'm protecting you from a disgruntled fallen angel already." Her words were harsh but he grinned.

"You just cant help but want this." He said and grinned.

"In your dreams." She smiled slightly in return and easily left the room. The boy was drama. Too bad he was cute.

"Lily, Win is coming over to fix the window in the basement, his daughter is coming with, be nice ok?"

Lily smirked. "Yeah sure."

It only took an hour before a girl walked around the back of a truck and pulled out a phone.

"Hi, I'm Lily."

"Danielle. And my brother Daniel." Lily raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah." A gruff male voice said. "It's fucking great."

"Alright then." Lily said awkwardly.

"Let's walk." She said putting her phone away.

She took a step closer to the street, and Lily followed, but she was shoved to the ground right as the latter on the roof her dad had used to put the dish in fell.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

"Let me guess, another mythical creature." Lily asked her right as her dad came running to see her.

After that drama, Danielle explained about a lot of things, and a lot of it was the exact same as Lily.

"Danny, I think we are going to be great friends." The girl grinned and punched her shoulder.

"Duh." The girls sat and talked for hours when Danny's phone rang.

"Yeah, on my way." She muttered.

"Have to go?"

"Yeah, school and all." The walk was silent, but a good silent.

Lily looked at the girl one last time before seeing something really remarkable.

"Did you notice we look like sisters?"

"More identical that that." She said with a smile. Lily grinned and pulled the girl into a hug. It was a feeling she missed greatly, and something she desperately needed.

Watching her friend ride away was difficult and the fact that she got a text an hour later told her the girl had a talent she needed to learn. Pick pocketing little thief!

'Hey, it's your twin! Call me sometime mmkay?'

Lily laughed. This girl would be fun to be around, that's for sure.
