Meeting with Zane was odd. Knowing about the whole soulmate thing didn't make her more comfortable. It felt like there was just that much more pressure to be perfect. Lily fidgeted with her jacket sleeve wishing she'd worn something more attractive.
"Let's go to the movies." Zane whispered.
Lily nodded, unsure of what she really wanted.
The movie played, Breaking Dawn from the Twilight series isn't usually a miss with the young teenage girls. Lily stared at the screen, seeing Bella turn into a blood drinking zombie, and all she could focus on was the face of her Mate.
His face showed almost no emotion, but his eyes weren't dead, they were the most painful part. Watching your Mate die, it left Lily feeling sick.
There was a feeling in her gut, a recognition. She peeked at Zane as he watched with avid fascination.
Owen had lost his Mate, but this battle would give her back to him. Danny would be alone again, and Lily couldn't place the feeling it gave her.
After the movie Zane grasped her hand in his, and pulled her after him gently while his thumb stroked her hand.
He pushed open the door to this cute little cottage like building that read, 'Breathing Beauty'.
Lily looked around and about had a heart attack. The place was so dimly lit she had to wait for her eyes to adjust to even see the wall in front of her. Every table had its own little light and it only exposed the one table, every other table could see you, but if their light wasnt on you couldnt see them. . .
The waitress walked up, the dark uniform made her almost invisible but for her exposed bust and face.
She was led to a little table, and the lights were dimmed even more so she could place a single white candle in the built into the wall candle holder. The stick was lit, and the waitress walked away, handing Zane the menu and two glasses while gesturing to the bar on the other end of the room.
Lily's heart was thumping in her head, this place was the kind that made you lose an arm and a leg to even walk in the door.
He returned and set the glass down gently in front of her. His smile was shy, big blues looking up at her in the most adorable way. His shoulders heaved upward and Lily caved.
He was having a good time, but he was too shy to say it.
"Thanks, for doing this. You didn't have to." Lily whispered.
"I want to. I don't want to screw this up, not with you." He whispered back so softly, she almost felt her heart stop.
"Soulmates, you can't screw it up, remember?"
"I want to believe your here with me because of more than a Soul Bond." He said, his blue getting to a darker inhuman shade.
"I suppose that would be true." Lily whispered, her voice meant to soothe.
"Would you care to order now?" A loud a d startling voice demanded.
