"How do you say goodbye to someone you can't live without"

It's ok I guess,
I understand what you need to do,
You have to leave me,
But what I don't get is why,
Why do I have to suffer when everyone leaves,
Maybe because I loved them,
Maybe because I got attached,
But I don't want to be anymore,
I cant stand it anymore,
I can't break my heart more than it already is,
Why do they come into my life,
Pretend to love and care for me,
And then leave?
It doesn't make any sense,
Sometimes I wonder why life is so cruel,
I just want someone else to take the blame for once,
For once I want to not be the problem,
I don't want to be the burden anymore,
And if that means pushing everyone I love and care about away,
To protect my heart from them,
And them from me,
Then I guess this will be our goodbye
