Chapter 5

Arizona's POV

I had just finished a consult when I got a call from Luke's school, thinking they were calling to tell me he was sick or something, boy was I wrong

"Mrs.Robbins"

"Yes?"

"This is the principal at Luke's school, there was an altercation between him and another boy and I'm afraid Luke is suspended until further notice and we need someone to come pick him up"

"Yea, Yes I'm on my way"

I can not believe this child, I paged Alex and told him to take my consults so I could go get Luke. He is in so much trouble when I see him.

I get to his school and walk in the office and there is another boy there holding an ice pack on his nose and the principal comes out and takes me back to Luke where he is sitting in one of the chairs

"How long does the usual 'until further notice' last?" I ask

"We have to meet with the board and they will tell us and then I will call you" he says and I nod, Luke grabs his things and we go back out to the car

"What. The. Hell. Was going through your head when you decided to put your hands on another child?" I ask him trying to keep myself from over reacting

"I don't know" he says

"You don't know? You don't know why you all of a sudden wanted to fight someone?" I say and he shrugs

"Okay. You're grounded until you can tell me what happened. Give me your phone" I say and he does and we drive back to the hospital to Mark can look at his hand that is messed up now,

When we get to the hospital and in a room I paged Callie and Mark and they both come in talking

"What do we- Luke?" Callie starts

"Our son decided he was going to punch a kid today and got himself suspended with a messed up hand." I say and Mark starts examine it while Callie still looking hesitantly at Luke

"It looks fine, keep some ice on it so the swelling goes down" Mark says and leaves Callie and I

"Why was there a fight?" Callie ask leaning against the wall

"I don't know. He won't tell me" I say and be looks down

"Luke" Callie says sternly

"It doesn't matter" he says

"I think it does matter. I think it matters a lot as to why our 12 year is starting fights!" Callie says

"No it doesn't matter! So just leave it alone. I get it I'm grounded, I'm not the son you wanted. All I ever do seems to disappoint you so just let this be one more thing" he yells and Callie and I look at each other

"Luke you do not disappoint us. We are so proud of the young man you are becoming. Where is all this coming from? We are just shocked as to why you were in a fight when you avoid conflict" Callie tells him and he looks away

"Look at me." I say firmly and he looks back over at me

"Can you tell us why?" I ask and he shakes his head
