I tried to call Axel again but to no avail. Why he isn't answering his phone?

"Stop calling him. Baka nagbobonding sila ni Coreen kaya hindi nya masagot ang tawag mo" napalingon ako kay Gabby

I blew a deep breath

Axel and I exchanges numbers for communication purpose, of course I have to check on Coreen

"I just can't help it. Nag aalala lang ako"

"Nag aalala para saan?" tinaasan ako nito ng kilay. Bakit nga ba ako nag aalala? Hindi naman itatakas siguro ni Axel si Coreen right?

"You have to work about your trust issues. I agree that Axel is a jerk but I don't think he's a kind of a man who break his words" dagdag ni Gabby

Maybe Gabby is right. I don't need to worry, I'm sure Coreen is having fun with her Dad

I almost jump when my phone suddenly rang. It was Axel

"Hey, sorry hindi ko agad nasagot ang tawag mo"

"It's okay. I just want to check on Coreen"

"We just got home. She's about to sleep. Napagod siguro kanina sa kalalaro"

He chuckled

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag

"Don't forget about her milk before she go to sleep"

"Yeah, don't worry about that"

"And one more thing Axel, when she woke up in the middle of the night, just gently comb her hair using your fingers. Makakatulog ulit din sya agad"

Coreen loves it when I'm combing her long black hair. Just like me, medyo curly ang bandang dulo ng buhok nito

I smiled

"It's already late, matulog ka na"

Napatingin ako sa labas ng bintana ng sasakyan, madilim na. I really want to go back in our hotel and rest

"We're on the way to our hotel"

Natahimik bigla si Axel. May nasabi ba akong mali?

"Ngayon lang kayo uuwi?"

"Ahm yeah? Katatapos lang ng meeting namin, marami kasing gusto ipagawa yung manager. Medyo nakakapressure"

I heard him cussed. Anong problema nya?

I glanced at the window again. Malapit na kami

"I have to hang up. Take care of Coreen"

Hindi ko na hinintay ang sagot nito at ibinaba ang tawag

Nakarating kami sa hotel. I went straight to my room

I heard my phone beeped

'Tell me that manager's name'

It was Axel

Kumunot ang noo ko

I replied to his message

'Why? Is there something wrong'

Hindi nagtagal ay nagreply ito

'Just give me his name'

What's wrong with him? I just shrugged and gave him the manager's name

'Sleep well'

Hindi na ako nagreply sa message nito at nahiga na lang sa kama. I'm really tired and a good sleep will be better
