There has to be some time of weapon I can use...but what? Swords won't work for me since I'll have to be close to the enemy to attack, and I'm too scared to fight up close, regardless of my time stopping magic. So I'll need to find a weapon that I can use at far range.
I sat at my desk, writing in my notebook about the weapons I could possibly use to attack. I was stumped, every weapon I could think of...was no use to me.
C'mon Violet...think, you're a magica now, you became one to protect her...so just pick a damn tool you can use to fight with!
As I impatiently tapped my pen on my desk a thought struck me.
That's right...a weapon that causes a lot of damage, and works well with my magic. I know what I can use to attack!
It wasn't easy to do but I managed to gather all the supplize I needed to create the thing I will use in battle. A pipe bomb designed uniquely in a way to match my abilities. I don't even need to have good aim for this weapon, I'll just stop time, press the button and place the bomb near the enemy, head to a safe spot, then unfreeze time. The bomb should go off immediately afterwards.
After creating my weapon I placed into my shield, which also seemed to be some sort of infinite storage for weapons and tools.
Oh neat, so I can basically put as many items as I want in this thing.
After placing a few bombs inside my shield, I went out to meet with my friend again.
"Yo! You made it, sick! Did ya find a weapon to use?"
I nod, pulling out a pipe bomb from my shield.
"I thought bombs would be nice to use since it compliments my time freezing powers, if you know what I mean."
"Nah nah, I got it. That's really cool, just make sure you don't blow me up by accident, hehe."
"I'll try not too," I chuckle. We searched for a few tristitias and when we found some, I tested out my weapon. Interestingly enough, even though I only placed 4 bombs inside my shield, there were a million more.
I managed to kill my first tristitia which looked like a giant venus fly trap. All I did was wait for it to open its mouth, then I froze time to place the bomb inside.Fighting those creatures was scary, but it was worth it as I got all the praise from Chikaryeida.
This timeline wasn't that much different from the first, a few different things here and there, but everything was exactly the same. I join Nuveseri again, I become roommates with my friend, I meet Gretchen, and much more.
I even met Kate's old childhood friend, Sana, as well. She was a little hard to get along with at first due to her short temper, but we were able to get along after a while.
I believe the major difference between this timeline and the other one, was that Chikaryeida and I were finally able to attend junior prom. It existed in the last timeline as well, the only difference is that we were busy fighting tristitias that we couldn't attend.
That was my favorite part about this reset. That one night I didn't have to worry about fighting or anything. It was like only me and her existed, and nothing mattered as we both danced in a field of blue irises and blue cornflowers under a bright full moon.
That day even appeared again as well. December 31, New Years Eve. The battle against Valenstia had begun and we were left victorious. Aside from most of the beach being destroyed, none of the citizens were harmed.
"Did we do it? Did we really do it?" I ask, holding my arm.
My whole body was covered in cuts and bruises due to the fight. Just like last time, Gretchen joined us in the fight, and like last time, she had died as well.
"Chikaryeida! We did it! We saved everyone!" I shouted cheerfully.
I didn't hear any response from my friend and became concerned. She was still alive after the fight. Not to mention her gem was still intact, sure, it was dark in color, but it was still all in one piece.
"Chikaryeida? Are you doing alright? Where are you?"
I searched the area until I found her lying on the flooring moaning in pain. Her lipana was in her hands, it was extremely dark, almost looked black with tiny specs of turquoise sprinkled throughout.
I ran up to her to get a closer look. I froze when I noticed her gem beginning to crack, her body twitching and turning in agony. The gem cracked more until it finally shattered, flinging me back a few feet. Now in the place of her lipana was a luctus threcius.
"I don't...why is this...."
She grunts a bit until she finally screams in agony as the dark object begins to activate, causing massive amounts of energy to come out.I sat there, paralyzed with horror as I saw her body go limp and watched as a monster crawled out from the black item.
"No..." I mutter. "That can't be right...how can this...I don't understand..."
And with that I resetted everything once more, bringing me back to November 13 once again. This can't be happening...I have to tell everyone...Naroi has been lying to us.
