'MISSING YOU DAD'

Shankar came out of the kitchen with a tea trolley and snacks as per Sandhya's request, "Give that to me and you go!!! Try not to disturb us." She added politely and pushed the trolley towards her children. Haseena's eyes went on her and she at once stopped Anubhav and Karishma, "Aunty!!" and moved towards Sandhya, "Aunty! Why you are doing this? Come have a seat here......Let me do it!!" She added taking the trolley from her. Sandhya who was already overwhelmed nodded and settled herself on the sofa and started adoring Haseena who was making tea and serving cake pieces on plates for everyone with full concentration. Anubhav and Karishma looked at their mother's eyes and smiled realizing Haseena had indeed become part of her heart as much as they both are. Haseena had placed the cup on the plate, placed a cake piece beside it, and forwarded it to Sandhya, "Aunty!" she called her seeing drowned in her thoughts. Coming out of her trance, she placed her hand lovingly on her head, "God Bless you Beta!!" and took the plate from her hand. Haseena served Karishma's plate and forwarded it to her followed by Anubhav's. She was about to serve herself when Anubhav and Karishma glanced at each other nodded and stopped her suddenly, "Stop Haseena!!" Karishma added. "What happened?" Anubhav stood up from the sofa and bending to his left side slightly, gestured through his hands and added, "Have a seat here and we will serve you...." "It's okay Anubhav.....no need of any formality....you know that..." Haseena responded. "Haseena!!! How much you speak..." Karishma added before withdrawing Haseena towards her on the sofa making her land on it. "Okay, fine Baba!!! Do whatever you both want to do....." She smiled giving in. Both the brother-sister duo smiled, Karishma moved towards the cake to cut a fresh piece of it while Anubhav moved towards tea ingredients and started making tea. Haseena was enjoying their love and pampering with a full smile while Sandhya was praying silently for their happiness while adoring their bond, "May God bless you three with every happiness of the world....." 

More than tea and snacks they were enjoying each other's company, chit-chatting and teasing each other freely. It was then Karishma added, "Anu Bhayya, I had booked caterers and decorators for tomorrow..." "Behna!!!" Anubhav sighed looking at his mother who too shook her head negatively. "Maa!! Why don't you people trust me? I had talked with him a few days ago and he had promised me that he will celebrate his birthday with us." Karishma added with great excitement which had surprised Haseena too and she asked, "You are talking about whose birthday with such a great enthusiasm dearie???" she asked sipping from her cup. "About Dad Haseena......you know tomorrow I will meet her after almost 8 months.....Oh my God!!! It's such a long time.....Anu bhayya, this time I will not let him leave us......I want to make his birthday special and grand, come on I need your help..." Karishma expressed her excitement to meet her Dad after so long and started dragging Anubhav towards his room for preparation while Haseena was pleasantly surprised seeing her completely transformed in a kid on the name of her Dad. It was then her attention diverted towards Anubhav whose eyes unlike Karishma's was giving a strange sense of disappointment and hurt. Suspicious of having an issue she glanced at Sandhya whose eyes are wet too.

She was about to ask them the matter but before that, Sandhya's phone rang and a smile crept her lips seeing it. "Veer??" she squeaked happily before picking it up and an instant ray of hope appeared in both brother and sister's eyes as they were attentively hearing her mother talking over the phone. "But Veer......You know how much they both are excited about it......And Karishma, she had been preparing for your birthday for a week.......you can't just do this at last minute, many high profile guests have confirmed their presence from their department.......Is it really that important??............okay fine!!.........No, you know I can't manage her when it comes to you.......Bye!!!" she said and hung up angrily. She raised her eyes to look at Karishma who's face until now was full of tears, eyes flashing with anger. Sandhya looked at Anubhav, his eyes were wet too.
