ANDREA'S POV:
He was there, sitting right in front of me. So familiar yet so strange. So near yet so far.

The Austin I knew five years back was a sweet and kind boy. Yes, he was bossy with others but he never seemed to be the dangerous type. But the person in front of me was a man. A man who radiated power, wealth and danger. A man who was like the men I feared. The only difference was that he seemed more dangerous than them all.

Maybe this was just my fear overpowering me. Throughout my life, I was surrounded by the men working for my father and after that, I was surrounded by the men my father made me work for. They were all monsters. So maybe what I felt about Austin was just my misunderstanding due to past experiences.

Austin saved my and my sister's life. How can I even think of him as a bad person? I mentally slap myself.

The day Augustus brought us here felt surreal. I couldn't believe that I was finally going to be free. And Austin finally found me. Five years back he promised to protect me and he fulfilled his promise.

I was shocked to see him in the wheelchair and cursed the person who made him like that. I doubted that my father Jake caused it. It has to be him, I mean who else has the guts to hurt Austin Hawk.

Still, I tried to ask Austin about it but he refused to tell anything, saying that it was not the time to stress over the negative stuff. When we were at the breakfast table I could sense a different kind of tension between Augustus,

Austin and Adria but I decided to ignore it. I mean my mind is just playing games with me. Why would they be tense around each other when they are meeting for the first time.

Silly me!

------------------------------------------------

ADRIA'S POV:

He was ignoring me. Completely. Even though I understand it, why do I still feel the pain that I was feeling right now?

After breakfast, Austin and Augustus left leaving me and my twin in the house.

"He has a big house", Andrea said looking around in awe. I just nodded in approval. "You know mom used to take me to grandfathers house on his death anniversary. It is huge, not as huge as this place but it is beautiful"

My chest felt heavy when hearing about mom. The moments she shared with Andrea which I never got the chance to experience.

"Can you tell me more about her", I asked taking Andrea's hand in mine. Her lips curved forming a soft smile.

"She was the sweetest. There was so much happening with her when I was a kid, but she never let that drop her smile when she was with me......", she begun. The whole day we talked about mom and my dad Edward.

----------------------------------

The day went by and the boys were not home. It was almost 10 pm, Andrea was in our room while I excused her saying that I was going to get some water. I went to the kitchen and asked one of the maids to call Austin but she said that they are not allowed to call directly him but they can call Augustus if the matter was urgent. I wanted to ask him about my dad and Connor it was indeed urgent. This morning I couldn't ask cause I did not want my sister to know about it. Luckily he was in the mansion at that time. He asked me to meet him beside the stairs.

"What is it?", Augustus asked, his voice calm.

"It's me, Adria".

"What the fuck do you want?", there was so much anger in his voice.

"I just wanted to ask about my dad", I said. He just smirked after listening to me.

"You wanted to know about Jake", he laughed. Okay, I understand his anger but he does not have to stoop this low.

"You very well know who I am talking about, Auggie", I said looking directly into his eyes.

"Don't fucking call me that and Edward is fine. You will meet him soon", saying that he dismissed me and started walking towards his room.

"And what about Conner?", I asked. I could see his body go stiff. Without even looking at me he let out a dry chuckle and said.

"You both suit each other", saying that he left leaving me behind all confused.

--------------------------------------------

The next day apart from the servants only I and Andrea were there in the big mansion. There was no trace of Austin and Augustus. Although I was happy that I didn't have to face them for the time being but I don't know why wanted to see them. See him.

At night I was sleeping beside Andrea in the room given for us by Austin. But my mind somehow drifted to the room we lived in back then, the whole black room which suited the personality of

Austin Hawk.

Did he still have my clothes in his closet? Or he burned them? And what about my gown? Mine supposed to be a wedding gown. Charlie was so happy while shopping with me. A lone tear escaped my eye on thinking about her. Will she still show me the same affection after knowing that I stabbed her son? Definitely not!

It was past 2 am and I was still wide awake. My thoughts were running wildly in all directions making it unable for me to sleep.

I closed my eyes tightly hoping it would help me. But then I felt someone's presence. Someone was watching me intensely. It scared me a bit. I looked at Andrea but she was fast asleep.

Debating with myself for about 10 minutes I finally decided to look. I looked right at the door of our room. It was open and there stood Austin Hawk, his eyes fixed on me.

He kept staring at me without giving any reaction. Even though his face showed zero emotions his eyes were like a mirror to his heart. Clearly showing hurt and betrayal in them. I did nothing but kept looking back at him not knowing what else to do.

The whole week went the same way. There was no trace of Austin or Augustus during the day time. Andrea tried calling them but the phone was picked up by either of their secretaries, who would tell us that 'the boss said he is busy'.

But for the entire week, the nights were different for me. Austin would stand leaning against the door of my and Andrea's room staring at me. I stared back at him, no words exchanged.

---------------------------------------------

The next day I woke up as usual. My head pounding, eyes heavy due to lack of sleep. Andrea was very cheerful this morning. She said that Augustus sent her a message and asked both of us to meet him and Austin in the dining room.

Andrea took shower before me so she got ready way before I did but just like every other morning she waited for me so that we could have breakfast together.

We went to the dining area together and saw three men waiting for us. It was Austin, Augustus and...

"Dad"
