The group and Lexie were here first thing in the morning to check on Meredith. Because the room was so tiny and Meredith wanted space they'd either sleep at Merediths house or an on call room if they were to tired to drive home.
Derek also moved back to his trailer. He decided he would come in everyday just to make sure she was ok but he wouldn't linger in case it made her uncomfortable.
Mark,Lexie,Cristina,izzie George and Alex were all there chatting up a storm.
"Mer how do you feel?" George asked checking her vitals
"A little actually no a lot sore and uh hungry I don't want to use feeding tubes anymore" she complained
"Well you already know why you have to, sorry about that though when you finally leave I'll take you out and we can go get whatever you want" he winked at her
"Thanks George" she smiled
"How are you and Derek?" Izzie asked sitting down
"Were.. not together "
"I thought as much, how do you feel?"
"He's being amazing about it but I just don't know. I mean he left me I should not get back with him right?"
"We can't answer that Meredith " Alex said
"Plus Mer you know you want to get back with him. You guys are all gooey and in love or something" Cristina shrugged
"Time... just time" she mumbled
"Mhm plus we all leave early everyday so you too can spend time together and work things out" Lexie said
"And I appreciate that but it's just this is all so weird.... like why is this stuff always happening to me"
"God probably doesn't like you" Cristina shrugged again
"Cristina!" Lexie hissed
"What?? Did I lie?"
Meredith laughed at cristinas insensitivity which is why they're friendship worked out so well. Meredith knew she wasn't being serious and Cristina knew her pretending to be rude would make her laugh. No one really understood their friendship besides them.
"I don't know how you find her funny" izzie said shaking her head
"She's a funny person" Meredith half shrugged
"Ow" she winced
"You see what she causes" mark joined in
"Oh shut up you all are just mad Meredith likes me more than all of you"
"Meredith and i are like siblings" mark said defensively
"Ok and we're like siblings too" Cristina retaliated
"How about we let Meredith get some rest" Bailey said walking in
"How are you doing today sweetie?" She said checking her labs
"Some soreness but I'm ok. Also when does the casts come off?"
"Well, it's been what four days now? You'll have them on for about another 5 weeks and then you'll do some pt to help regain function of your limbs"
"Ugh" she said throwing her head back
"You'll be fine Meredith, why don't you all leave her be I'm sure someone else wants to come in too" she said looking at Derek who was standing at the doorway slightly hidden
Everyone said they're goodbyes and closed the door. Derek came in with flowers and closed the door and blinds for some extra privacy.
"You brought flowers " she slightly smiled
