A week of marriage. They had been married for a week and Meredith was completely healed. From her injuries from the crash and from her all nighter with Derek.
Today was the day they would go back to work. She looked forward to it and all but she missed just being in bed with Derek all day and calling each other husband and wife and laugh about how weird it was.
But it was them, they were the happiest they've ever been and nothing could bring them down from this high.
Merediths shift didn't start for another hour but she was comfortable in Dereks arms...she didn't want to get up.
"Meredith " Derek said shaking her slightly
"What?"
"We have work soon get up"
"No" she said holding on tightly around his body
"I'm your boss Doctor Grey"
"We're not at work yet Doctor Shepherd "
"I'll tell Bailey on you"
"No you wouldn't "
"I wouldn't? I have her number" he smirked
"Derek I'm tired " she groaned
"If you get in the shower you'll be more awake"
"Derek"
"Meredith " he mocked
"I hate you" she said getting up and going to the bathroom
"Love you too" he called after her
"Your not taking a shower with me either"
"Oh now that's just mean" he said walking to the bathroom. But he was met with a door slam to the face and he heard her lock it.
"Meredith come on I'm just being helpful "
"Cant hear you I'm taking off my clothes" she yelled
"You are such..." he chuckled to himself
"Showering" she yelled in a sing song voice
"You know I'm your husband your supposed to want to shower with me!" He yelled back
"Showering!" She yelled back
Derek sat on the bed and waited for her to come out which wasn't too much longer.
She came out in her favorite towel and she glared at Derek.
"Well what did I do?" He said walking up to her
He wrapped his arms around her and inhaled her scent.
"You woke me up that's what you did" she whispered
"You've been looking forward to work Meredith. Would you prefer I not wake you and you go in late? Have Bailey yell at you and all?" He whispered against her neck
"No I wouldn't have "she said walking away from him
"Exactly so stop being mad at me" he pouted
