Chapter 30

A/N I'm sure you guys saw what happened tonight and I'm broken. I want to personally die. So this chapter is gonna be everything I wished happened. This is strictly Meredith and Derek.

Meredith stood outside a window and Bailey and Richard were calling time of death on Derek.

"What? No no no this can't be hap-"

She started crying it felt like she had died with him. The cries were so heartbreaking and the situation was so real it carried over to the real world.

"Mer?"

She kept crying.

"Meredith wake up please" he said a bit more concerned

She continued crying and talking in her sleep.

"Derek please you can't be dead please" she cried

"Dead? No Meredith I'm here I'm right here" he said hugging her

Meredith felt the hug and it was enough to snap her out of it.

"Derek?" She sniffled

"I'm right here Meredith I'm not dead or dying"

"Yo-you did you died and you left me and I-I" she said before she started hyperventilating

"Meredith please slow down. Take deep breaths"

"I ca- I can't Derek please I can't i-"

He got up and looked around and found a paper bag. He sat back down and handed it to her

"Deep breaths mer take deep breaths"

She grabbed the bag with a shaky hand and breathed in and out . She repeated this and leaned into him and he held her protectively. After a few minutes she was able to relax a bit and talk.

"Meredith talk to me"

"You.. you died. It looked real it felt real. You were dead and we fight and yell but I can't live without you Derek shepherd. I.. I feel like you died. I know your here but that dream.. it feels like you died." She confessed

Derek was so sad. He could relate to that dreadful feeling seeing as Meredith has been in two life threatening situations so he understood.

"I can tell Bailey you were having flashbacks and you couldn't work. We can go home Meredith "

"I.. I can't that's I can't get left behind because of a dream "

"If your so shaken up you can't even look me in the eyes it's not just a dream Meredith. I'm worried about you"

"I can't look at you"

"Why?"

"I'm scared"

"What are you scared of Meredith?"

"I'm scared of how much I need you. I've had dreams of ppl I knew dying before and we joked about it .. you if you ever died I wouldn't be able to live"

"Oh Meredith I'm ... im so sorry I love you so much . I'm here I'm right here touch me"

"Derek.."

"I'm serious I'm not wearing a shirt touch me feel my heart I'm not dead Meredith "

Meredith looked up at him for the first time during this whole ordeal. And she touched him. She felt the warmth from his skin and she felt his heart beat. She leaned in and hugged him. Holding on for dear life.

"You can't die. Your not allowed to ever die."

"I can say the same for you"

"I'm serious Derek"
