Chapter 16

"Hey hey Derek is that you" said the police officer
over the phone

"Yeah officer can you and five others come Like now I want to save her I want to save Meredith now" he said determined

"Yes of course give us 25 minutes and we'll be right there"

"Thank you"

Derek dropped his phone and took a shower and got dressed. He went to their closet grabbed his gun and cocked it after he bought it early this morning

"I will kill you Michael " he said determined while waiting for the officers.

25 minutes later

*knock knock*

Derek walked over and opened the door to see six officers standing there

"Hey" Derek said

"You ready to go?" the lead officer asked

"Ready as I'll ever be. It's the seventh floor room 365"

They made their way to the room and the officers knocked and knocked and knocked

"Guys just kick it down or something like in the movies" Derek said frustrated

They kicked the door down and nothing... no one was there not Michael not Meredith but there was blood on the floor and a note.

"Derek I don't have much time he's coming we're leaving i don't know where he's planning to take me but I love you pl-"

And the note trailed off. Derek started crying and he hated himself for not just rushing in that night and for waiting the next morning. That was it he would never find her again. His soul was crushed and his heart shattered his mood visibly changed and his mood was bitter. He failed he failed to protect her what he promised to do he couldn't.

"Hey hey we found something"
His eyes lit up a bit
"Wh-what is it"
"It's a ... nothing never mind"
"tell me what it is"
"It's a pregnancy test... Meredith is pregnant "
"Wh-what" was what Derek said before he passed out. How how did our trip in Hawaii turn into such a nightmare.

"This is where you live right"
"Yeah Seattle"
"Ok well first off you are going to have an abortion because I'm not ready to have a baby and second well we're going to live where you and Derek did " he said while holding her hand on the plane
She sat there motionless
"Derek" she thought

Derek woke up in an hospital and a nurse walked in
"Wh-where am I?"
"The local hospital you fainted after finding out some news.."
"Oh yeah my girlfriend is pregnant" he said blandly
He felt broken. Like his life had no purpose it had been three days now without Meredith and she was being abused that blood was a symbol of either rape or just physical abuse but if she was pregnant that meant he had been raping her. He felt sick literally.. he threw up

"Hey I need some help over here" the nurse said while rushing over to help Derek

He vomited for 25 minutes straight and when he finished he felt weak and the nurse hooked him up to an iv.

He went to sleep shortly after.

"Derek you left me you let him take me I can never forgive you"

"Meredith no I-I tried to save you"

"You didn't try hard enough and now I'm going to live with him in Seattle"

"What what Meredith no please come back"

He woke up with a cold sweat.. wait was that God helping him? Was she actually in Seattle? I have to try I have to go back and see for myself. He thought

He got up and and walked to the desk and discharged himself before running out to his car.

He drove with speed to the hotel and packed both of their clothes quickly before exiting, talking to the main desk and left the hotel. He carried those bags like he was the hulk. He ran to his car and drove to the airport. He had to wait 2 hours because the plane got delayed he got on it and sat there for 6 hours with determination on his face. When he finally landed he was so happy he would see her and kill Michael and they could be happy and get married but he felt weak probably because he just went 9 hours without foot or water so he stopped by the food court in the airport and got a sandwich with fries. He ate with ferocious speed and rushed to the baggage claim knocking over a young child in the process he didn't even stop to say sorry. Meredith..Meredith was on his mind. He rushed outside and called an Uber and waited. Once the car arrived he loaded the baggage and got inside giving him the directions to their house. He brought to baggage's to the front door and remembered his gun. He grabbed it out of the super secret spot he created in his bag and slipped it into his back pocket. And kicked the door open to see Michael on top of Meredith getting ready to rape her. He didn't hesitate to shoot him in the head. And rush over to remove his dead body from Meredith.

"Meredith oh Meredith" he cried while hugging her
"Derek " she cried while hugging him back
"Are you ok? Well I know your not but are you?"
" no no I'm I had an abortion and he raped me and Derek I I don't" she rambled before she started crying into his chest again

"Derek I'm so so sorry"
"What? What are you sorry for you did nothing wrong"
"I went to his room if I never did w-"
"No this isn't your fault it's his"
"You shot him "
"I did" he breathed he got up and went to find something to cover Meredith up before he carried her to his car to get her checked out. He noticed all the bruises and cuts but he couldn't cry not right now not when she needed him the most. He called the cops and told them everything so they could come pick up the body while Derek drove Meredith to Seattle grace.
