I woke up only to see Jade snuggled into Karlie they looked adorable I felt my heart melt at the sight.
Slowly I snuck away leaving them to sleep for a while and going to make them breakfast
"Fuck Karlie you scared me!" I mumbled feeling her arms tighten around my waist she smiled kissing my neck. "What are you making?" She asked I continued to slice the strawberry's putting them on the side of the plate. "Well Jade loves toast with Nutella it's not you know healthy but all week she's been eating eggs and avocados."
"Mhm that looks good." Karlie whispered dipping her finger into the jar I slapped it away she laughed making sure I turned to watch her lick her finger dry. "Can you not make everything you do so sexual?" I raised an eyebrow
"Probably not."
I rolled my eyes taking the jar away from her just after she stole another dip I poured some milk in Jade's cup and Karlie went to wake her.
"MOMMY THATS MY FAVORITE!" Jade yelled I smiled lifting her up on the counter she sat down quickly digging into her breakfast. I watched Karlie and the way she talked to her, handled her, cared for her all of it was too much. Falling in love with Karlie was risky and scary but it was even scarier to watch Jade grow just as attached to her.
Karlie's stare met mine I blushed a little embarrassed I had been staring quite a while. "Can I stay here tonight?" She asked walking closer towards me so Jade couldn't hear us much anymore.
"Yea, why?" I asked
"If you're gonna be busy-
"Karlie I want you to stay but you never do on Sundays what about work?" I asked taking a sip of my coffee.
"I'll just swing by my place and get some clothes." She said avoiding eye contact. Something was up but I didn't want to start anything right now so I just nodded.
"Can we watch tangled?" Jade asked lightening the mood Karlie groaned a little smirking. "Again?!" She asked tickling Jade who bursted out in fits of giggles. "It's—hahahah- MY FAVORITE AHAH." She yelled giggling I laughed a little.
"Nope we're watching my favorite cartoon. Monster house."
"No! That's scary."
"It's not scary! I'll be right by your side okay? No monsters will get you or I'll hit them!" Karlie smiled hugging Jade.
"Fine."
"Yay!" Karlie smiled lifting Jade up and off the counter Jade ran to her room to probably get some toy to show Karlie this was my chance to hug her. It was a way of showing her how much I loved her without the having to say it. She protectively wrapped her arms around me kissing the top of my head.
"You're amazing to her." I whispered Karlie laughed a little I dug my head deeper into her neck. "She's the coolest, sweetest, funniest I can go on but she's an Angel Taylor." Karlie said
"She loves you."
"I love her."
We stood in silence for a while longer Jade running back into the room ruined the moment. We can't really be alone with a 5 year old in the house but soon it'll be a 6 year old. Jade's birthday is next month the 3rd of December and mine is only a few days from hers. I haven't told Karlie yet I'm scared she'll do something crazy. Like paying Selena $1,000 dollars for babysitting Jade, it took a long time for Sel to accept it. I guess she payed her back for all the times I never could.
I wrapped my arms around Karlie from the back Jade groaned trying to keep Karlie to herself and pull her away from me. "I want Karlie to play with me!" She groaned I smiled "I wanna play with Karlie." I mumbled Jade being an innocent 5 years old didn't understand what it really meant but Karlie's flushed cheeks told me she did.
