"You what!?" Jinyoung yelled, making Jaebeom need to hold the phone away from his ear.
He sighed, pacing back and forth through the empty bathroom he hid in after Jackson retrieved his phone. He figured it would be his best bet to call Jinyoung somewhere private, not only because he didn't want anyone to eavesdrop on their conversation, but also because he didn't want to make a scene with his phone amplifying the scientist's freakout.
"Th-They didn't tell you? You didn't know?" Jaebeom asked confusedly.
"No, I didn't know! Why would they tell me anything if they suspect me of helping you!? I told you they were keeping a closer eye on me-- think for just one fucking second Jaebeom!"
"I don't need you yelling at me right now." Jaebeom whispered harshly. He was trying to keep himself calm, but he naturally freaked out when others freaked out.
"How do you expect me not to yell! It's not like I told you how stupid and dangerous this all was from the start! But no, Jaebeom has to do what Jaebeom wants to do, right!?"
"Can you just listen to me?"
Jinyoung huffed, the rapid pacing he did on the other end audible through the phone. "What do you expect me to do, huh?"
Jaebeom took in a breath as he attempted to sort through his thoughts. "You're the only one on my side right now... I don't know what branch of the company I'm in right now but, I can send you my location, think you can come?"
He heard a scoff come through the speaker. "Are you kidding me? You're gonna try to steal him again? Did we not see how this worked out the first time--?"
"No, I'm not stealing him. I'm gonna walk out of here with him no matter what, but I realize I can't just take him."
Jinyoung faltered, taking a breath. "...Then what is your plan? And what do I have to do with it?"
"I want you to come with a car so we can get out of here when I settle things." Jaebeom answered semi-confidently.
"But what is the plan?" Jinyoung repeated. "I'm not gonna agree to something stupid and half thought out."
In all honestly, Jaebeom only had half a plan. He was serious about getting Youngjae out of there, but he still wasn't sure on how. He wished he had more time to think about this, but unfortunately, he needed to figure out something as soon as possible.
He definitely needed help, and it would be useful to have someone on his side. Of course, Jinyoung would help him, but there was only so much he could do while not drawing too much attention to himself. And Youngjae was a great help at times, but the latter's been through enough as it is and Jaebeom didn't want to force anything more out of him.
He let out a sigh, unsure how to respond.
"Um, excuse me, Mr.Jaebeom?" The voice belonging to Jackson came from outside of the bathroom, gentle knocks following behind it. "Is everything okay? Youngjae's been asking me if you're alright and I've been reassuring him but..."
"Yeah, sorry I just need another minute or two--" Jaebeom paused, an idea suddenly sparking in his head. "...Hey Jinyoung, just thought of something. Just get a car ready and I'll text the address."
"Wha- Jaebeom explain--"
Jinyoung's voice cut off with a beep as soon as Jaebeom ended the call. He shoved his phone into his pocket while exiting the restroom. Jackson stood just beside the door, his eyes glued on the room Youngjae remained in. He glanced over at Jaebeom, worriedly gesturing in Youngjae's direction.
"I don't want him to think somethings wrong, you should go reassure him." Jackson muttered.
Jaebeom hummed, flashing a smile. "Thanks."
