Jaebeom followed Jackson down the long fluorescent hallways, no longer paying attention to their location or the decor-- rather, the lack thereof.

All that swarmed in his mind was Younjgae-- he was worried about the hybrid, but more worried about his future. He didn't know what to do; while he wanted Youngjae to himself, he always swore to pick the best option for him. Part of him knew that the two CEOs were trying to get into his head, but could he really call it manipulation if they made valid points?

He wasn't sure of anything anymore, he felt lost.

He was pulled out of his swamp of thoughts as he turned a corner, following Jackson down a hallway, at the end of which stood a cage with a familiar body curled up against a wall.

Jaebeom's eyes widened; he began to walk faster, bypassing Jackson.

"Youngjae!" He called out, the figure instantly perking up.

"Jaebeom?" The hybrid stood, his own golden eyes glistening.

Jaebeom approached the cage, leaning against the metal as he finally rested his eyes on who he'd been waiting to see ever since he woke up seemingly hours ago. He examined the hybrid from head to toe, not seeing any visible scars, yet.

"Take him out." He ordered, glancing back at the security guard on duty to keep watch of Youngjae.

The guard shook his head while trying to push Jaebeom back from the cage. "I can't do that, sir."

"Take him out!" Jaebeom demanded, startling the guard. He turned to Jackson, a scarily serious expression on his face. "I won't talk to him while he's in there!"

"Please, let him out. Yugyeom said they can talk." Jackson quickly diffused the conflict.

The guard was hesitant to comply, but the glare Jaebeom gave him influenced him to just hurry up and do what they asked. He unlocked the cage, pushing the door open; just milliseconds later, Jaebeom was rushing through.

He tackled Youngjae with a hug, the hybrid sturdy enough to catch him and squeeze him just as tight. Jaebeom didn't realize how much he had missed those arms and that body until he was surrounded by them again. He missed how Youngjae felt and his smell and simply his presence, he almost didn't want to let go.

"If you two would follow me, I can bring you to a private area to talk..." Jackson eventually offered.

Jaeboeom peeled himself off of Youngjae in favor of finding a more private area to be with him, refusing to let go of the hybrid's hand as they followed Jackson down yet another hallway. He wasn't going to allow being separated again.

"Are you okay? What did they do to you? Are you hurt?" He questioned, a billion other things rushing through his mind, but he couldn't get it all out at the same time.

Youngjae shook his head, running his free hand through his messy hair. "I dunno, I just woke up and you were gone and I was in a cage again... I thought it was a nightmare..."

Jaebeom almost pouted in sympathy; he could only imagine how the hybrid felt waking up all on his own.

Jackson abruptly stopped at a door, turning the handle and opening it, gesturing for the two to head inside.

"In here, I got you two some food..." He watched as they walked in, both surprised by the table of food that awaited them. Jaebeom didn't even have a chance to thank him before he was shutting the door. "I'll be outside."

The door closed, leaving him and Youngjae alone. Youngjae sat on one side of the small table full of food while Jaebeom took the other, watching as the hybrid wasted no time digging in. He could tell the latter was hungry, and for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to eat; he just wanted to watch Youngjae fill himself until he was satisfied.
