Jaebum couldn't stop thinking about Youngjae's lips as they drove to the lab.

The hybrid had sprung it on him so suddenly, quite literally trapping him in a corner between either kissing him or dealing with Youngjae's refusal to return to the lab' and without much argument Jaebum went with the former. He kept telling himself that he only allowed the hybrid to kiss him in order to get him to cooperate, but the way his heart pounded before, during, and after the incident said there was much more to it.

He didn't have time to think about weird feelings though, he should be more focused on putting on a good performance for Yugyeom and his colleagues. Jinyoung informed him just before they left Jaebum's apartment that not only was Yugyeom coming to view Youngjae, but representatives from other companies interested in him as well. Jaebum wasn't fully informed as to why other people were involved with a seemingly top secret project, but that information was confidential and not within his pay grade to worry about. 

The car ride was quiet, mostly because Jaebum was too flustered to say much, while Youngjae was sulking about having to leave the comfort of his apartment. The mutual silent treatment only ended when the two pulled into the long driveway of the lab building.

Jaebum set the car in park, turning to the hybrid who let out a heavy sigh at the sight of his old home. "Okay, so um... just act as you normally do, some people are gonna come in and look at you for a while, so please don't do anything weird. And do not talk about your time outside the lab at all."

Youngjae nodded, though his lack of attention made it seem like Jaebum's words were going through one ear and out the other. "Okay. Will they touch me?"

"I don't know, but if they want to touch you, don't be too hostile." Jaebum replied. He hoped Youngjae would cooperate; the hybrid seemed to love acting up in the most crucial moments, which was not gonna be beneficial today.

"I don't like people touching me..."  He mumbled, his golden eyes finally shifting from the window over to Jaebum. "...besides you."

A shudder ran through Jaebum's body; he quickly looked away to avoid those naughty eyes. "W-Well, um... be a bit nicer today...." He stuttered as he opened the driver door and stepped out. "C'mon, let's get you in there."

Youngjae followed Jaebum into the lab with a large hoodie on to cover himself just in case anyone aside from Jinyoung were around to notice the scale-y hybrid outside of his cage. Luckily many of those who worked in the building were also busy preparing for their CEO's arrival, which meant less attention was paid to the two who walked right through to the lab.

Jaebum pushed the metal door open, finding Jinyoung himself rushing around to organize things and make his work station look presentable.

Jinyoung glanced up at the sound of someone's arrival, an obvious sigh of relief escaping him as his gaze met with Jaebum's, then Youngjae's. "Oh good you're here. Youngjae please go to your cage."

The hybrid barely had time to get used to being back, or to even say 'hi', which irked him enough for him to huff angrily. He tore off his hoodie and shoved it into Jaebum's arms, reluctantly shuffling back to the familiar large cage he hated to return to. 

Jaebum was surprised at his obedience, but maybe he was behaving due to their little agreement back in the apartment. Jaebum's heart throbbed at the thought that a simple kiss could tame Youngjae's stubborn personality; but at the same time, he found such thoughts ridiculous. Youngjae was behaving just because he felt like it, it had nothing to do with Jaebum.

Besides, he had something much more important to focus on at the moment, which was the impending arrival of their boss.

"When will they come?" he asked.
