Jaebum couldn't get that kiss out of his mind, as predicted. He didn't know what he expected Youngjae's lips to feel like, but he was surprised by the softness and warmth, and even the gentleness Youngjae used while kissing him. It happened in a burst of energy, Jaebum didn't expect to be suddenly yanked forward by his shirt into a lip lock, but as soon as their mouths met, Youngjae handled him more carefully.

The way Youngjae's hand slid around his waist, fingers dancing over the area and making goosebumps rise all over his skin, while the other hand that had gripped his shirt gently moved to cradle his neck and sent tingles throughout Jaebum's entire body. And the slight tilt of his head for a better angle when their noses brushed together, Youngjae's soft breaths ghosting along his skin. For the hybrid's first kiss, it was a damn good one.

Even when they got home Jaebum had to distance himself from Youngjae, or else he'd be thinking more about the kiss than he already was. The reminder of how short and sweet and warm and comfortable it was-- caused a shudder to run through Jaebum's body, his heart pounding hard against his chest.

He was able to get the hybrid occupied in front of the TV for a while so he could disappear into his room and hide himself. He still needed time to calm down after the surprise intimate exchange between them.

He hadn't even noticed he'd gotten a text from Jinyoung earlier only until he pulled his phone out of his pocket, probably due to his mind being shattered at the time by Youngjae's impulsive actions. He tapped the notification, hoping that talking with the scientist would occupy his thoughts for the time being.

He tapped on the message notification, skimming over the text.

Jinyoung: How are things? Was he okay his first night? Any problems?

Problems? Would he describe random kissing as a problem?

Jaebum typed out a message:

He kissed me.

He stared at it for a few seconds, quickly shaking his head and rapidly tapping the backspace button. He'd rather not tell Jinyoung that, who knows what the scientist would think of him if he ever found out him and Youngjae had this weird tension between them.

Instead, he sent a generic update status.

Jaebum: nope. So far so good. I think this is gonna work out.

He sighed as he stared at the message, the moment where Youngjae tugged him hard against his lips replaying again in his mind.

"Hey Jaebum."

Jaebum jolted, yelping as he spun around to face the voice that startled him. Youngjae stood in his bedroom doorway, those golden eyes focused solely on Jaebum.

"Y-Yeah? What is it?" He stuttered out as he locked gazes with the hybrid, heart pounding against his chest from the sudden scare and the reminder of their intimate exchange from earlier.

"Can you teach me how to use your laptop?" Youngjae pointed behind him at the device sat atop the living room coffee table.

Jaebum was able to let out a breath of relief at the innocent question. He, for some reason, thought that things between him and Youngjae would be awkward for a while, but the hybrid didn't really care much about such emotions, which was a huge relief. If Youngjae could easily forget about it, then Jaebum had nothing to worry about.

Aside from his deceptive mind that often created imaginative scenarios between him and Youngjae at random times.

But he suppressed those thoughts to instead focus on something other than doing intimate things with the hybrid. "Oh you're interested?"
