Jaebeom woke up to an empty bed.

He stretched, feeling the absence of a large body beside him that left half of his bed cold. He opened his eyes, glancing over as if he needed to make sure he was really alone. He'd gotten quite used to sleeping with Youngjae, so much so that him being gone was difficult to get used to again.

He'd done this for years prior to even knowing Youngjae existed-- why was sleeping alone so difficult now?

It has been days since he'd last seen his hybrid. He 'd driven Youngjae back to the lab, receiving the silent treatment the entire time. Youngjae was surprisingly-- but thankfully-- obedient while going back. No arguments or anything, but the bleak expression he wore on his face showed exactly how he felt about it.

Jaebeom tried to talk with him on multiple occasions to try and get a mutual understanding between them, only for Youngjae to growl and turn his back every time a word slipped out of his mouth.

The hybrid didn't even want to see him anymore, which was a real shock considering his normally clingy behavior. Jaebeom felt like he'd been stabbed in the chest when he called about visiting the lab and Jinyoung told him Youngjae didn't want him to.

So he was left to staying home alone; he had no desire to go out anywhere. Normally he was taking Youngjae for a walk or going out shopping for more food to feed the hybrid, but that was now Jinyoung's job again. Jaebeom was backed up with nearly a dozen extra reports that he had written up on Youngjae, so he was set for a while to still maintain his job while respecting the hybrid's wishes.

Though it was killing him. He should've told Youngjae sooner that living in his apartment wasn't permanent. He shouldn't have even entertained the idea of housing a half-dinosaur hybrid forever. He just wanted to give Youngjae some hope to cling onto since he had none when they first met, but he had totally missed the repercussions that could possibly follow.

He let out a heavy sigh as he stared up at his ceiling. Jinyoung told him not to become so attached, and this was probably why. He didn't regret coming to befriend Youngjae; but it really hurt to have him taken away, especially since some parts of their relationship didn't stop at only 'friends'.

Suddenly the memory of Youngjae's hands sliding across his body resurfaced. Jaebeom let out a shaky breath as chills ran through his body. All this time he's avoided facing the weird feelings that Youngjae made him have whenever he was flirty or craving affection, but with the hybrid gone, he could only think about those times he was flustered and pinned down and touched and kissed.

Jaebeom grabbed a pillow and hugged it tight, shoving his face into the cushion. If Youngjae were there, they'd be cuddled up together, so close and intimate.

He felt himself twitching-- down there. Of course he now suffered from getting horny off of inappropriate thoughts. He shouldn't have allowed the last time he and Youngjae touched to be when they were making out and the hybrid was so close to seeing and feeling his most private areas. Now he was left with what felt like permanent blue balls. Not literally, of course-- that would only be another problem.

Figuratively though, he felt like they hadn't finished things that day; it all ended too abruptly and even then Jaebeom imagined what would have happened if he hadn't panicked and stopped it all to give him the bad news. He shouldn't be having these thoughts; he knew he shouldn't be having these thoughts about a lab project that he'd grown fond of; but the problem was that Youngjae wasn't just a lab project to him anymore.

He was just Youngjae. Jaebeom missed Youngjae.

It was difficult for him not to give in to the urge he had to appease the raging thing between his legs. He imagined Youngjae lying there beside him, holding him and touching him. At some point or another, Jaebeom's pillow ended up between his legs, his hips rocking back and forth, needy for friction. He went to sleep in just his boxers that were already being leaked through, but made for more direct contact.
