Breaking Dawn Chapter - 163

Adelyn went towards Edward and Bella. She was tapping her foot trying his get his attention when he ignored her. She was fuming.

'Do you want to miss your plane?' Alice demanded, right next to Adelyn. 'I'm sure you'll have a lovely honeymoon camped out in the airport waiting for another flight.'

Edward turned to face slightly. 'Go away.' And then he kissed Bella's lip.

'Bella, do you want to wear that dress on the airplane?' Alice demanded. Bella wasn't really paying much attention.

Adelyn growled quitely. 'I'll tell her where you're taking and the location, Edward. So help me, I will.'

Edward froze. Then he lifted his face from Bella, and glared at his twin sister. 'You both are awfully cute but hugely irritating.'

'Thank you. I'm glad Jasper doesn't have to put up with me alone,' said Adelyn rolling her eyes.

'We didn't make that dress to be wasted, Bella,' said Alice. 'Come  with us, Bella. Don't irritate us or else you will suffer with him.'

Adelyn glared at her brother. And tugged Bella's arm. Bella tugged against Adelyn hold, stretching up on her toes to kiss Edward. Edward tried to trip Adelyn and she kicked Edward's shin and jerked her arm and hauled Bella away from him. There were a few chuckles from the watching guests. 

'Sorry,' Bella apologized.

'We don't blame you, Bella,' said Alice. 'You don't seem to be able to help yourself.'

Bella giggled at her martyred expression, and Adelyn scowled and closed her eyes.

Esme and Bree were waiting upstairs. Renee soon joined them. All five of them quickly had Bella out of her dress and into Alice's deep blue going-away ensemble. Renee was crying without a break the entire time.

'Thank you,' said Bella. 'I mean it........It was the most beautiful wedding anyone ever had. Everything was exactly right. You both are the best, smartest, most talented sisters in the whole world.'

That thawed them out; Alice smiled a huge smile. 'I'm glad you liked it.'

Adelyn was still vary and she was standing like a stone.

'I'll call you when I know where I'm going,' Bella promised as she hugged Renee goodbye. Bella knew the honeymoon secret was probably driving Renee crazy; Renee hated secrets , unless she was in on them.

Only four person knew where they are going. Edward, Jasper, Adelyn and Alice. 

'I'll tell you as soon as she's safely away,' said Alice. Adelyn smirked at Bella's wounded expression. How unfair, for Bella to be the last to know.

'You have to visit me and Phil very, very soon. It's your turn to go south----see the sun for once,' Renee said.

'It didn't rain today,' Bella reminded her, avoiding her request.

'A miracle,' said Renee. Adelyn and Alice grinned at each other. They knew it won't rain today and they planned it so well that it won't ruin the wedding. Adelyn turned to look at the window. 

'Everything's ready. Your suitcases are in the car--Jasper's bringing it around,' said Adelyn. She pulled Bella back toward the stairs with Renee following, still halfway embracing Bella.

'I love you, Mom,' Bella whispered as they descended. 'I'm so glad you have Phil. Take care of each other.'

'I love you, too, Bella, honey,' said Renee.

'Goodbye, Mom. I love you,' Bella said again, her throat thick.

Edward was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. Bella took outstretched hand but leaned away. scanning the little crowd that was waiting to see them off. Charlie was leaning awkwardly against the wall behind everyone else, looking a little like he was hiding. The red rims around his eyes explained why. 

'Oh, Dad!' said Bella.

Bella hugged him around the waist, tears streaming again----Bella was crying so much tonight. He patted her back.

'There, now. You don't want to miss your plane,' said Charlie.

It was hard to talk about love with Charlie---they were so much alike, always reverting to trivial things to avoid embarrassing emotional displays. But this was no time for being self-conscious.

'I love you forever, Dad,' Bella told him. 'Don't forget that.'

'You, too. Bells. Always have, always will,' said Charlie.

Adelyn was waiting for them to finish. Jasper hugged her from behind and put his chin on her head. He was rubbing his hand around her arms to make her feel better. He was feeling exactly what his wife was feeling. The feel of emptiness, like you life is permanently about to change. Don't get her wrong, she loves Bella and she always wanted her brother to find himself a mate. But this is hard for her. She was possessive and jealous.

'Call me,' said Charlie.

'Soon,' Bella promised, knowing this was all Bella could promise.

'Go on, then,' he said gruffly. 'Don't want to be late.'

The guests made another aisle for them. Edward pulled Bella close to his side as they made their escape.

'Are you ready?' he asked.

'I am,' Bella said, and he knew that it was true.

Everyone applauded when Edward kissed Bella on the doorstep. Then he rushed Bella to the car as the rice storm began. Emmett and Adelyn threw with uncanny precision, and Bella caught a lot of ricochets off Edward's back. The car was decorated with more flowers that trailed in streamers along its length, and long gossamer ribbons that were tied to a dozen shoes---designer shoes that looked brand-new---dangling behind the bumper.

Edward shielded Bella from the rice while she climbed in, and then he was in and they were speeding away as Bella waved out the window and called 'I love you' to the porch, where Bella's families waved back.

As they turned onto the black highway and Edward really hit the accelerator, Bella heard a noise over the purr of the engine, coming from the forest behind them. If Bella could hear it, then he certainly could. But he said nothing as the sound slowly faded in the distance. Bella said nothing, either.

The piercing, heartbroken howling grew fainter and then disappeared entirely.

Diego, Bree, Rosalie and Emmett were going to stay with their cousin in Alaska. Adelyn and Jasper are travelling towards south to meet Peter and Charlotte.
