Breaking Dawn Chapter - 161

'Oh hell, look at your eyes! What did you do? Stay up all right?' Alice asked.

'Almost, Adelyn made me sleep. Nightmare,' said Bella.

'We've only allotted so much time to make you stunning, Bella ---- you might have taken better care of our raw material,' said Alice.

'No one expects me to be stunning when you four are there. I think the bigger problem is that I might fall asleep during the ceremony and not be able to say 'I do' at the right part, and then Edward will make his escape,' said Bella.

'We'll throw our bouquets at you when it gets close,' said Alice laughing.

'Thanks,' said Bella.

'At least you'll have plenty of time to sleep on the plane tomorrow,' said Bree. 

Bella raised her eyebrow. Bree realized that she'd given something away, and she frowned.

'You're all packed and ready,' Alice said to distract Bella.

It worked, Bella sighed and closed her eyes.

'Alice, I wish you would let me pack my own things!' said Bella.

'That would give away too much. We promised Edward that we won't tell,' said Adelyn. 'Even he doesn't know much about where you both are going.'

'Is he back yet?' Bella asked.

'Don't worry, he'll be there before the music starts. But you don't get to see him, no matter when he gets back. We're doing this the traditional way,' said Alice. 

'Traditional?' Bella snorted. Adelyn's death glare made Bella cringe away.

'You're doing the way we ask or no wedding, you understand that right. I can still make Edward not marry you,' said Adelyn.

She went upstairs to her room. Alice sighed and shook her head.

'What's going on?' Bella asked, confused. 'Did I say anything wrong.'

'She's jealous, Bella. She'd have to share her brother to you,' said Alice. 'She's getting more irritable because the day is getting nearer.'

'Don't worry, she'll change. I asked Jasper about it, he said she'll change after the wedding,' said Bree.

When they reached the garage, Bella could see the graduation decoration box in the storeage.

'I see you both got to reuse the graduation decorations,' said Bella.

'Waste not, want not. Enjoy this, because you don't get to see the inside decorations until it's time,' said Alice. She pulled into the cavernous garage north of the main house; Emmett;s big jeep was still gone.

'Since when is the bride not allowed to see the decorations?' Bella protested.

'Since she put me and Adelyn in charge. I want you to get the full impact coming down the stairs,' said Alice.

Bree clapped her hand over Bella eyes before she let Bella inside the kitchen. Bella was immediately assailed by the scent.

'What is that?' Bella wondered as Bree guided Bella into the house.

'Is it too much?' Alice's voice was abruptly worried. 'You're the first human in here; I hope I got it right.'

'It smells wonderful!' Bella assured Alice ----- almost intoxicating, but not at all overwhelming, the balance of the different fragrances was subtle and flawless. 'Orange blossoms......lilac......lavender...and something else ----am I right?'

'Very good, Bella. You only missed the freesia and the roses,' said Bree. She didn't uncover Bella's eyes until they were in Adelyn's bathroom. Bella stared at the long counter covered in all the paraphernalia of a beauty salon, and began to feel Bella's sleepless night.
