Chapter - 145

Not in my natures said Emmett.

Emmett charges Jasper with impossible speed, but Jasper is a virtual blur. Emmett lunges several times, his strong arms catching air. Jasper stops long enough to day.

You have to come at them from the side, and keep moving. Always move said Jasper.

Emmett lunges again with a similar results, until suddenly he freezes---- Jasper has him from behind, his teeth an inch from Emmett's throat.

Bella is taken aback by Jasper's skill. And there's an impressed rumble among the watching wolves.

Again said Emmett.

It's my turn said Edward.

In a minute. I want to show Bella something first said Jasper grinning.

Bella watched with anxious eyes as he waved Alice and Adelyn.

They're the most dangerous we could ever have. Alice? said Jasper.

Alice danced blithely into a ring. Alice and Jasper spar, spiraling, twisting. Jasper launches at her, but her eyes glazed over not looking at him. She sees his moves with less details but she has enough to see his moves before he makes them out of now where Alice is perched on his back.

Try again next time Jazz said Alice jumping from his back.

Come on darling said Jasper looking at Adelyn. Adelyn sighed and stood in front of him.

Bella Pov:

I knew that Jasper would never allow any harm to come to Adelyn it was still hard to watch as he shrunk back into a crouch facing her. Adelyn stood there motionlessly, smiling to herself. Jasper sprinted forward, then moved to her left.

Adelyn closed her eyes.

My heart thumped unevenly as Jasper stalked towards where Adelyn stood. Jasper sprang disappearing suddenly, he was on the other side of Adelyn. She didn't appear to have moved.

Jasper wheeled and launched himself at her again, only to land in a crouch behind her like the first time, all the while Adelyn stood smiling with her eyes closed.

I watched Adelyn more carefully now. She was moving - I'd just been missing it, distracted by Jasper's attacks. She took a small step forward at spot where she'd just been standing. She took another step, while Jasper's grasping hands whistled past where her waist had been.

Jasper closed in and Adelyn began to move faster. She was dancing - spiraling and twisting and curling in on herself. Jasper was her partner, reaching through her graceful patterns, never touching her like every movements was choreographed . Finally Adelyn laughed. Out of nowhere she was perched on Jasper's back her lips on his necks.

I caught you said Adelyn and kissed his throat.

Jasper chuckled shaking his head and said You truly my favorite dangerous monster.

The wolves muttered again. This time the sound was wary.

It's good for them to learn some respect said Edward amused and said It's my turn.

Edward had closed on Jasper now, and this fight was more even than either of them others. Jasper had more experiences to guide him and he tried to go on instinct almost as much as he could but his thoughts always gave him away a fraction of a second before he acted.

Edward was slightly faster, but the moves Jasper used were unfamiliar to him. They moved too fast for me to really understand what they were doing. The sharp wolves eyes catch my attention I had the feeling the wolves were getting more out of this than I was.

Eventually Carlisle cleared his throat.

Jasper laughed and took a step back. Edward straightened up and grinned at him.

Back to work. We'll call it a draw said Adelyn.

Everyone took turns, Carlisle, then Rosalie, Esme and Emmett again.

Alice, Rosalie and Esme left us sometimes later.

Edward came towards me and whispered We're almost finished.

Jasper confirmed that by saying We'll be doing this tomorrow, Please feel free and welcome to observe again.

They said they'll be there said Edward.

Jazz come here please said Adelyn. She hates seeing Jasper like this I could see. Jasper raised his eyebrow but he came to her in a heart beat.

The pack thinks it would be helpful to be familiar with each of our scent - so they don't make mistakes later if we could hold still, it will make it easier for them said Edward.

Now I understand why Adelyn needed Jasper's aid.

Certainly whatever you need said Carlisle.

There was gloomy grumble from the wolf pack as they all rose to their feet.

Sam was the leader of course. It looked like front the pack right on his trail. Jasper and Adelyn stiffened but Emmett on the other side of Carlisle was grinning and relaxed.

Sam sniffed at Carlisle seems to wince slightly as he did. Then moved on to Jasper and Adelyn. The pack did the same. I could pick out a few of the new additions. A light grey and desert sand wolves followed white wolf everywhere it goes. A low whine broke through the sandy wolf when white wold left it and looked at Adelyn and licked the small wolf and lead him towards the others. Adelyn smiled and stayed with Jasper.

I stopped at the wolf just behind Sam. His fur was reddish brown and he was almost tall as Sam, the second longest in the group. The enormous russet colored wolf seemed to feel my gaze, he looked at with familiar black eyes.

Jacob I breathed.

The answer was a rumble deep in his chest sounds like a chuckle and he disappeared into the woods.

Normal Pov:

Jazz I broke my promise that I won't let you be that again said Adelyn looking at Jasper in his eyes.

Hey! listen. We're doing this for Edward and Bella and for us too. I'm not going back like that and I don't feel bad said Jasper and kissed her in the lips.

Bella sits on the hood of the Volvo. Jasper approaches kicking the mud off his shoes brushing drift off. Bella looks at him as if for the first time.
