Jacob sprang lightly to his feet, his ability at odds with his sheer mass and trotted over to where Edward and Bella stood on the fringe of things.

Jacob Edward greeted him politely.

Jacob ignored him, his dark eyes on Bella. A white wolf came near Bella and Edward.

Selena Edward greeted him politely.

Selena nodded as she accepted the greeting.

Jacob put his head down to Bella's level as he had yesterday locking it to one side. A low whimper escaped his muzzle.

I'm fine but just worried you know Bella said to them.

Jacob growled - not a threatening sound an annoying sound - and Edward's lips twitched.

What? Bella asked.

He thinks my translation leaves something to be desired. What he actually thought was, that's really stupid. What is there to be worried about? I edited because I thought it was rude Edward said.

Bella half-way smiled, too anxious to really feel amused.

There's plenty to be worried about. Like a bunch of really stupid wolves getting themselves hurt Bella said.

Jacob and Selena laughed there coughing bark.

Edward sighed and said, Jasper wants help. You'll be okay without a translator.

I'll manage Bella said to Edward.

Edward looked at Bella wistfully for one minute his expression hard to understand then turned in back and strode over to where Jasper and Adelyn waited.

Bella sat down where she was. The ground was cold and uncomfortable.

Selena took a step forward, then looked back at Bella, and a low whine rose to her threat. She took another half step.

Bella stared up at the bright silver clouds, not wanting to see the fight.

Jacob scooted himself closer to Selena. Selena closer to Bella pressing her warm fur against Bella's left side.

Thanks, Sel Bella muttered.

After a few minutes, Bella leaned against Selena's wide shoulders. It was much more comfortable and warm that way.

Absently, Bella began pulling her fingers through the fur of Selena's neck. Selena lifts her neck as humming sound that Jacob made yesterday.

It was a homely kind of sound, rougher wilder than a cat's purr, but conveying the same sense of contentment.

You know, I never had a dog. I always wanted one, but Renee's allergic said, Bella.

Jacob and Selena laughed and their body shook under Bella.

Jacob leaned his head against Bella's leg and started humming again. And it did make Bella feel better as she started hugged Selena. Selena curdled up to Bella as she was watching the Cullens.

So we got some hiking to do tomorrow I guess, said Bella.

Jacob rumbled, the sound was enthusiastic. Selena flashed her silver eyes to Bella with a mischevious motive.

It might be a long hike. Edward doesn't judge distances the way a normal person does, said Bella.

Selena and Jacob barked another laugh.

Bella settled deeper into Selena's warm fur resting her head on her neck. It was strange for Bella. Even though Selena was in this bizarre form this felt more like the way Selena and Bella used to be.

Adelyn came to Bella's side and said we have to go and pack for your two day trip with me.

Bella nodded her head and she got up as Selena and Jacob left with Embry and Quill. They were playing and having fun as they disappeared into the deep forest.

Edward gave Adelyn and Bella a ride home and Adelyn hoisted Bella to her window and she also climbed inside the window to start packing.

Get some sleep, Bella. I'll pack for you and Jasper would come be morning to pick us up said Adelyn.

Bella was tired and she fell asleep. Adelyn sat in one of Bella's chair and started reading one of Bella's books. The books Adelyn read was all first edition and rare editions but this one had many editions. Adelyn loves to collect the books that are valuable now.

The packing was done in about ten minutes and Adelyn sat in one of Bella's chair and started reading one of Bella's books.
