Hulk was sent flying into a building and I had to rush forward to throw up a shield before he could get attacked again. The Abomination pounded on the shield and I diverted more power into keeping it up.

"Hey can someone use their powers and help?!" I asked, watching as Clint tried to shoot an exploding arrow at the Hulk only for it to detonate two feet in front of him. "Use the powers that you got during the swap guys!"

This time Clint got the hint and whacked Abomination hard, sending him at least 50 feet away. Clint handed Hulk his bow with a nod before giving an ecstatic battle cry and launching towards the Abomination. I winced as I tried to form a broadsword, I guess I had used up too much power trying to fend off the Abomination. Which was strange considering I usually had more energy during battle. Nat swung at Abomination but misjudged the distance as Abomination ducked and Nat hit Tony instead.

"Sorry Stark!" Nat shouted as Tony roughly hit the ground.

"It's fine," Tony groaned as he threw a thumbs up from the ground.

It was not fine. In fact, that fight ended with me and Loki booking it while carrying Iron Man and Thor who were knocked unconscious. We regrouped at a small cafe in a train station about 20 blocks away from the Abomination.

"This is ridiculous! We can't fight like this!" Clint pounded a fist on the table while using the other to hold a burger.

I rubbed my forehead and Tony turned to Loki, "Seriously, you can't do anything about this?"

Loki didn't meet his eyes, in fact he hadn't really talked or anything to anyone since we arrived.

"Maybe the problem is that you're using your powers either like each other or like yourselves. Try combining both to get the best of both worlds." I suggest. "Try working on it outside, there's a field behind this building." That seemed to convince them, and once they were gone I switched seats so that I was sitting across from Loki.

"You wanna talk about it?"

Loki raised an eyebrow, "What?"

"You wanna talk about it- whatever's been bothering you? You've barely said anything to anyone since we got to London."

Loki went quick for a little before quietly saying, "Don't tell any of the others, especially my brother. I met someone here a long time ago. Odin sent me to Earth for a mission to find out why Asgardian magic was present in Midgard. I was told to go and work with a group of mortals and I met someone there. We didn't get off to the best start but over time, I grew to love him. But, when I should have brought him with me, I left him to rot in a world that didn't accept him. He's dead now, it's been too many years and I am well aware of human lifespans but I walk through these streets and I just remember..."

"I see. I think I get it." I reached out and gave his hand a squeeze, "When did you know what you were doing was wrong?"

"The moment I even thought of it and yet I still went through with it."

"For once I think I understand both sides of this story. Loki, I've struggled with making good choices. I've made a lot of bad ones. But what makes you better than that decision is repaying for it. You might not be able to see it but I can, you're repaying all of the bad decisions that you made while living your life. I believe that you'll keep repaying for those decisions. We as people are only as bad as our decisions if we forget to continue to feel remorse and take action against them. Furthermore, I understand him too. I loved someone only to be betrayed but I think he would be happy with who you are becoming now. In his eyes, you're making up for what you did to him."

"Can I ask you a question?" Loki's eyes were covered by his slightly messy hair, I could barely make out the saddened green behind the black locks. I nodded in confirmation. "How do you feel about the person who betrayed you?"

That's a tough question to answer. "I," Deep breaths, Dark, "I think I loved her at one point. I don't think I still do and I don't know if I'd be happy with who she is because I know who she is. She's who she always has been."

Loki nodded and moved his hand to his face. I think he might have been wiping tears away. "Can I ask something else of you? Can you come with me so I can leave flowers at his grave?"

"Sure."
