"Alright, Avengers, we need two of you to go spy on Dr.Doom. He's been acting suspicious and we're expecting-" Rogers was explaining a mission but if i'm honest. I could barely pay attention. Since my first mission acquiring stolen SHIELD tech with the Avengers I've felt this nagging feeling in the back of my head slowly consume me. I feel like something terrible is about to happen. It doesn't help that for some reason the black cosmo stone is limiting my usage of its powers.
"Dark. Dark. DARK!" Loki prodded my cheek with his finger as his voice increased in volume.
"Shit, sorry." I jumped back into reality and shuffled off to Avengejet before Loki could ask if I was okay.
"Why are you so fidgety today?" Clint asked, pointing an arrow to my leg which was bouncing up and down. The avenger jet was almost to the UN where Doom was expected to be present at a meeting. Loki and I were assigned to spy on the meeting, posing as security guards.
"I'm just a little hyper today, okay?" A half truth and a half lie. The best kind if you will note. I was hyper but not just from a random feeling of energy, more the kind of energy you get from the tension of a horror game. He seemed to leave me alone for now.
Once we touched down, Loki transformed into his female form which was very very attractive. We both got changed into suits and I couldn't help but blush at the fact that Loki looked good in any clothes and with any gender. I think Loki caught me blushing because he gave me a smirk.
The meeting itself went smoothly and was rather boring, the diplomats discussed weapons bans with Doom and a few other things. It was what Doom did after the meeting that was concerning. He left for an empty conference room and opened up a comm link with his robots, ordering them to seize two UN members. Loki contacted the avengers and they told us to follow the UN members and protect them. We rushed into the garage of the UN
"Do you know how to steal a car?" I asked Loki. He had changed back into his male form.
"No? I'm an Asgardian sorcerer dear, not a common thief."
"Well, let's hope that Simon taught me enough about cars."
"Who?" I told him to drop it and tried to form a dagger. The dagger's form flashed in and out of existence before pittering out. I looked to Loki and he got a dagger and opened the car window. Lady Luck was on our side today as the car had keys in it. We hopped in and started driving. We reached the car that had the UN members and started trailing it.
"Where did you learn to drive?" Loki asked as he peered out the windows for Doom Bots.
"Someone taught me." I caught sight of a doom bot and handed the radio to Loki, "Tell the Un members to hide in a building while we deal with this." The car with the UN members stopped in front of a building and they were quietly ushered into it. We got out of our car and started fighting with the Doom bots. There were two and they jumped from the tops of cars towards us. I tried to swing a sword at them but got nothing. So instead it was a punch. I struggled to form any weapons, different forms, or a shield. I blocked a hard swipe from the bot with my crossed arms. I dropped down and went to kick it, only for it to dodge the pick and instead literally punt me into the nearest wall. I didn't have any way to shield myself from the impact and I collided hard, feeling a snap somewhere in my body. Everything went black.
