When I awoke, I had a massive headache. I instantly wish that I had stayed asleep. Groaning, I got up and out of my bed.
"Why am I here?" I mutter to myself, as I stretch. Looking around, I can barely piece together the fact that the others must have put me here after I passed out. I pick up my dinotector and scroll through the messages. Squinting because of the brightness, I read a message about heading down to the med-bay when I wake up, which was sent from Mr. Ancient. I hastily decide against it since I'd rather not go through that today. Instead, I head down to get some breakfast- Wait not. It's 7:30 PM. I should probably eat dinner. Much to my surprise no one asks questions when I appear, bed head and all. Quite ferociously, I gulp down my food and head off to clean the kitchen.
I hear a sigh behind me, "Dark? Are you feeling alright to do that?" I turn around and see Artstor donning a concerned look.
"Yeah, of course." I reply cheerily as I scrub the dishes.
"You know you can talk to us about anything that's bothering you. Since, ya know, we're kinda like a family now." Ocean chimes in.
"That's sweet guys, really. And I completely agree, but I'm telling you. I'm fine, great actually." I scrub faster, trying to focus on something other than all their worried faces. I don't want to disappoint them, I'm trying not too. After I'm done cleaning, I turn to Majung who gives me a dissatisfied look.
"Why do you worry them? Tell them the truth." I hear as a blue light engulfs us.
"It's not that simple. I don't even know the truth yet." I mutter.
There is a huff, "That's why. That's why we won't ever truly be partners." With that the light ends and Majung walks away. And much like before, when I passed out. It seems like there's only darkness and me.
"We'll start your training later tonight. But first I want you to go find that cosmo stone from yesterday."
"Why?"
"Most students don't ask teacher questions, I suggest you model yourself after those students."
"Wait, but aren't those the ones that don't pass their courses?"
"Would you just do it already?" The voice is gruff with annoyance.
"Fine, fine." Walking down to the D-Team's lab, I wander a bit before I feel a slight pull towards the lab. I don't know how to describe the pull, but it's like a sort of bond that pulls two things together. I follow the pull towards the cosmo stone, which is encased in glass.
"Ah, my kin. Nice to see you again after all this time."
