I woke up in a black void. Only a 2 feet circle around me was illuminated. It was cold and desolate

"Hello?" I put a hand out to feel around the void, "Is anyone there?" I felt a sudden rush of anxiety and fear. An image flashed before me and I felt my finger curl around someone's neck. I trembled as I looked into Ocean's departed eyes and let go. My vision blurred as I stared at my hands which were soaked with blood.

"It's not real. It's not real" I repeated as I looked up and saw an apocalyptic world that was riddled with bodies. The bodies of my friends and my family.

I wake up abruptly in the middle of the night, a cold sweat dripping down my body. I quietly practiced some breathing exercises. In and out. In and out. In. And out. It calmed me down a little but I felt like I needed some time awake to fully regain control of my emotions. So, I decided to get a drink, carefully so as to not wake up Majung I pushed myself off the bed. I headed to the kitchen to get a drink, turning on the faucet and holding a glass up to it. Tap water filled the glass and I turned as I heard rustling in the living room.

"Relax, it's me." Loki's voice carried itself to my ears as I looked at his half illuminated body.

I relaxed. "You scared me half to death. Couldn't sleep either?" I leaned on the kitchen counter and took a sip.

"Yes."

"Wanna talk about it?"

Loki shifted uncomfortably, he seemed to be trying to hide all of his skin from the light. "Maybe."

"I'll go first, I had a nightmare. It started out with just an empty void and, I don't know, it just reminded me of a time where I was alone and I didn't have anyone, even myself. Then suddenly I felt something cold and wet in my hands. I-I..." I let out a sigh as tears formed in my eyes.

"I'm sorry." Loki pauses awkwardly, "Do you want a hug?"

I didn't even say yes. I just sat next to him and let him wrap an arm around me and pull me into his side. Now we're both shrouded in companionable darkness.

"You want a drink? Now I'm suddenly feeling like hot chocolate or lemonade. Maybe I'm having some very temperamental cravings."

Loki chuckles, "Hot chocolate, you always make the best."

I got up and quickly made us both some hot chocolate and handed it to him. I raised an eyebrow at his hand which was a peculiar icy blue color with lighter markings.

Anxiously Loki asks me a question as I curl up next to him, "What's your favorite drink?"

I hum, "Depends on the mood. Vodka for a bad day, hot chocolate for a cold day, lemonade for a warm day, and hot chocolate for a good day." We continued our idle chatter and eventually we decided to go back to sleep. Loki and I walk towards our rooms, once I reach my room, I turn to give him a hug.

"You're not as annoying as I once thought," I say before heading into my room. From beyond the door, Loki dauns a stupid smile and looked at the skin on his hand, noticing that some times during their talking it had gone back to it's ivory color.
