"Today our mission is to protect a UN diplomat from Brazil, they've recently been the target of Masters of Evil after helping create a system to track them down. So, we'll be stationing teams around their ruote to the UN." Tony pointed to different spots on the map and assigned teams. "Loki, Dark, and Hawkeye will take the middle of the route."

"You're joking right? I'm teaming up with them?"

"Rude," Rolling my eyes at Barton's dramatics.

"Are you three in position, Barton?" Captain America asked from the comms.

"Yeah but i still don't understand why I couldn't just go with Widow instead of these jerks."

"I think we're quite pleasant." Loki mused while leaning against the wall of the entrance to the roof. Loki shot me a look with a sparkle of mischief and something else. I shook my head in disapproval as the ghost of red dusted my cheeks and a slight smile spread on my face.

    "Ugh, stop that."

"Stop what?" I asked innocently, flapping my eyelashes.

"That," his finger flickered between us, "The looks and the smiles and the planning trouble."

Loki put a hand on his heart and pretended to start to faint, "We were doing no such thing Man of Bows."

    "Hawkeye."

"Bow boy," I mutter so that only Loki and Majung could hear. Loki quietly snickered and Hawkeye sent us a glare and told us to watch out for any suspicious figures.

Catching the binoculars that Barton tossed me, I started to survey the crowd. There were just regular people going about their day, probably trying to get to their jobs in a busy city. No one seemed to be moving suspiciously, though I doubt I could tell from up on this roof.

"Are you sure one of us shouldn't be down there in the crowd? It might be easier to spot the Masters of Evil from in the crowd."

"Absolutely not, I'm not letting either of you out of my sight."

"They reach you in two minutes. Any sign of the Masters of Evil"

"No Iron man, seems quiet over here." Barton grunts. And just like Stark said, cars clear out of the way as a secret service car holding the Bazilian diplomat passes through the street. Unfortunately, things don't go as smoothly as we thought they would. A figure with what seems to be eight robotic arms attacks the car and easily pulls out the diplomat, making a break for it.

"Crap." Barton unsheathes his bow and starts aiming for the man with octopus arms. "Hawkeye to Avengers, Doc Oct's got the diplomat, he's heading east."

"Weeeee!" Was all I'm assuming the others heard before I jumped off the roof. With a quick roll of my shoulder blades, the Black Cosmo stone lent me it's power to create wings. With a powerful flap, I flew about twenty feet from the ground and trailed Doctor Octopus. \

"Dark disengage!" Hawkeye barked through the comm.

"But I'm almost right on top of him!" I whined.

"I'm gonna take a shot at Doc Oct's arm connector piece. I can't do that if you're in the way. " Heading his words for once, I let myself stand upright in midair to slow myself to a stop. I watched as an arrow made contact with the connector. But despite that the villain only seemed to flinch and kept proceeding with his get away.

    "Alright, regroup up here."

By the time that I got to the rooftop, the rest of the Avengers had arrived and Loki looked as if he hadn't moved an inch.

"Did you just not move from that spot?" I questioned, standing next to him.

"You and Barton seemed to have it handled."

"Alright, I shot a tracker at him so by now we should have a fixed location. I'll send the coordinates to Stark so that he can send them to each of you." In small groups, we made our way to the coordinates which turned out to be an abandoned warehouse. How original. Loki, Hawkeye, and I were tasked with getting the diplomat while the other avengers would hang back and assist when the Masters of Evil least expected it.

"Alright, Bow Boy, what's the plan now?" I said as Hawkeye, Loki, and I stood on the roof of the warehouse, near a window. The diplomat was tied to a chair with the Masters of Evil surrounding them.

"Hawkeye, and I'm gonna release a blinding arrow in there and then we're gonna come in and get the diplomat to safety. Do not engage with the Masters of Evil unless absolutely necessary. Get the diplomat to this spot." My comm dinged with the coordinates of the drop off point.

"I suppose that you'll be joining us as we take the diplomat to the drop off point."

"No, I'm gonna be holding off the Masters while you two and the diplomat escape."

With that, Hawkeye shot off the blinding arrow and during the flash of light we descended into the warehouse. It was a little difficult to see but we eventually found the diplomat, however what Hawkeye failed to mention was how quickly the blinding arrow's light dissipated. Loki took the diplomat towards the exit quietly and I tried to follow only to literally collide with Zemo.

"You! Where did the hostage go!" Zemo demanded as he reached for me. Blocked off by the other bodies of the Masters of Evil, I was caught in his grasp. He grabbed my neck and lifted my body off of the ground. I gasped for air and tried to claw and punch at his arm.

"Where did the hostage go?!" he demanded again.

"You look like you're wearing a purple sock on your head. It's freaking stupid." I smirked as I tried to keep myself conscious. I saw veins poke out from the purple cloth and I figured I had hit a nerve. He threw me towards the ground and I landed on my back hard. Coughing, I tried to sit up, only for a boot to stand on my chest. It was clearly Zemo's boot, I looked around for Hawkeye, only to see him trying to reach me but getting blocked by the rest of the Masters.

"Looks like it's only you and me, Sockie." I growled quickly, shoving my arms in front of me and forming a blast of black energy. Right as I shot the blast, I saw my dinotector light up with a notification from the D-Team. My eyes widened and I missed my shot, only grazing Zemo's arm.

"Seems your aim isn't as good as your teammates."

"Hey Zemo, behind you." I heard a familiar voice say as Zemo lurched away from me. Using that chance, I got up and created a sword. Loki stabbed Zemo in the back with a dagger. It wasn't fatal but Zemo screamed out in pain and ordered a retreat and the Masters fled.

As Loki, Hawkeye, and I made our way back to the other Avengers. I figured that I needed a few answers.

"Loki, what did you do with that diplomat?"

"Oh simple, I message Thor to get them while I attended to you."

"You just left to diplomat out in the open didn't you." Hawkeye sounded slightly peeved but also exhausted.

"Hmm, perhaps." We fell silent again before I spoke up.

"Thank you to, both of you, for helping me during that fight."

"No problem, "They both answered. Though Loki's glaze lingered on mine for a while longer.
