Chapter 38: I'm Sorry But I Fell in Love Tonight

Sheer didn't know how she knew that Dark would be coming back to the grocery store that night. But she thought she might as well check, it gave her an excuse to get away from the brawl between Foolscap and Gabbro. Seriously, it was pathetic, they were just rolling on the ground like some disgusting combined blob that also was insulting it's other half. Sheer enjoyed the quiet bustle of the store and found herself wandering aimlessly, enjoying the silent commotion in the store. Eventually her wandering had led her to Dark,the leader of the rebellion and possessor of the Black Cosmo Stone. The Spectral pirates had gathered this information after watching footage of Dark assault a group of bots while infiltrating the base that housed the Yellow Cosmo Stone. Once the droid's remains were examined the pirates had no doubt they had caught the Black Cosmo Stone. Sheer had no idea how Dark managed to absorb and sustain the Black Cosmo Stone but that was a question for later. The Space Pirates had hatched a plan to trick her and capture her. At first, when Sheer approached her, she felt a fluttering in her heart, as if the view of Dark surrounded Sheer with warm winds. Sheer had at first stook the feeling away focusing on Dark's reaction to her presence. Sheer was surprised to find that Dark was overall very trusting of her and seemed to take a liking to her. That's why when they brushed, sometimes it was on purpose, other times it was a happy accident.

And then when Dark went to leave, something told Sheer to make this feeling official between them. Within moments their lips were pressed together as if Sheer was woon and Dark was the night sky, destiny to meet and spend a small amount of time basking in each other's presence. After Dark left, Sheer tried to reason with her feelings before opting to take the easy way out, and try to convince herself that she was there for one thing only. To capture Dark.

Weeks of meeting in secret, weeks of stolen touches, weeks of unspoken declarations of love, weeks of a flutter feeling that bloomed into a flying feeling. Weeks and Sheer still wanted to deny her feelings. But tonight was the night and there was nothing that could change that.

I entered the grocery store again for a slightly smaller grocery list. Majung had figured out, with little effort as he noted, that I was seeing Sheer during my night time excursions. Majung had insisted that I take him with me in the shape of a card despite my protests. Sheer looked gorgeous as usual and i felt butterflies weld up in my stomach. But I noted her anxious state. I reached out and grabbed her hand, squeezing it reassuringly. She gazed at me with a hidden emotion.

"Are you alright?" I asked, concerned growing in my voice.

"I wonder, will everything be the same after today." Those words confused me but I couldn't dwell on it for long. 

Author's Note: This one came late, I'm sorry. There are two more chapters left. As stated before the chapter began, "Is There Somewhere" is by Halsey. I picked the song because it closely(but not fully) matched this chapter. Leave a comment if you're confused and I'll try to explain my shaky logic xD.
