A month later
"Johnathon, can I go down and help Max, Rex, and Zoe?" I asked. I had just recovered from the torture the Space Pirates had put me through and I saw no harm in going back into the battlefield. Plus, Majung and I hadn't seen each other for a few months and I wanted to go on adventure with him and the rest of the D-Team.
"I'm sorry Ms. Light. I can't do that. I have orders not to let you off the ship to protect you from the Space Pirates'' Jonathan replied. I knew that even if I agreed that nothing would change Johnathon's robotic mind. Dejected, I turned away and started my walk back to my room.
"Wait Dark." A friendly voice said, it was the voice of Rex's father. "You can go, just stay out of trouble" he said smiling. I thanked him, summoned Majung to his chibi form, and then Johnathon spent me down to Ancient Japan. Or at least he thought he did.
The white beam with accents of rainbows appeared around them and we were beamed down to an airfield.
'I thought they were in Ancient Japan..." I thought," Maybe I should contact the ship." I tried to call the ship but there was only static in return. I tried again and got the same results. At this point I had given up. I looked around and spotted airplanes for war and people in riot suits. I looked around a little more and saw a cliff where the pavement ended. Then a cloud literally hit me in the face. I looked down at Majung and both of us instantly realized that we were in the air. My fear of heights hit.
"Alright just keep calm and practice breathing" I said out loud and Majung pressed his head against my leg for comfort. I spotted a man in a black suit and decided to ask him some questions. I picked up Majung and headed to the man.
"Excuse me sir. Do you know where we are and why this thing is flying?" The man turned around and seemed instantly suspicious. He had brown hair and was starting to bald. His brown eyes and a square face.
"How did you get here? This is a restricted area, civilians shouldn't be here," he stated.
"I umm," I paused thinking of my answer, "I came looking for my friends. You see, I was sick for a little bit and my friends went out. I got better and I thought they came here." I smiled cheesily at him.
"I think you should come with me, young lady," the man said firmly and beckoning me to follow him. Deciding that it was best to go with the man. The man took me into the flying ship's halls and to a desolate room with a table and two chairs. The man motioned me to sit at a chair and I did. He also sat down on the chair at the opposite end of the table from me and Majung.
"What's your name?" The name asked.
"Dark." I answered plainly
"Last name?"
"Light. Kind of contradictive, I know."
"We'll get to that later. You said you followed your friends here?"
"I-uhh yes?" I stuttered
His eyes hardened, " yes or no Miss Light"
"Yes"
"Now, why are you lying?"
My mind started pounding, had I really been caught so easily? "I'm not lying, I assure you that much." I stated firmly. The tensions in the room rose, the lights seemed brighter and harsher and the walls seemed smaller than before.
"Next question. What's that in your arms?"
"A dog," a lie I and the D-Team had used for years to avoid questions about their dinosaurs in public.
"That's no dog"
"It's an exotic breed of dog! Called the Majungalungzu! And yes, that's a real thing!"
"Oh really? Where is it originally from?"
"Madagascar"
"Pretty good story you're spinning here. What are you really here for?"
Dark's voice got quiet and serious, "I told you, looking for some friends."
"Fine. What are you going to do with them?"
"Search for something that they lost"
"What did you lose?"
"Okay I think this has gone on for far too long." I said as I stood up and exited the room. However, when the door opened there were about 20 people with riot suits and guns.
"I think you should sit down and answer a few more questions" the brown haired man stated. Looking around and studying our predicament. The brown hair man got up from his chair and headed towards me with handcuffs. He grabbed my hand and attached it. Turning around at lightning speed, I dropped Majung, and punched him in the stomach. Majung landed on his feet and faced the stumbling man, growling.
"Agent Coulson, sir, should we attack?" A soldier asked.
"Give me a second," Agent Coulson responded, "did you come here for the stones?"
Dark paused, surprised he had realized that so quickly. "Yes, how did you know?"
"Men! Take her down!" Agent Coulson shouted. On command, the soldiers started to fire and Majung knocked down the table we had been seated at before. Using the table as cover, my hands gripped its sides and pushed it forward to ram the soldier. They jumped out of the way just in time and Majung and I jumped over the table and into the hallway. A blaring alarm filled the halls as the lights turned red. Panicking, I stood there wondering which direction was out as I listened to the commotion coming towards me.
"Do you remember the way out?" I asked Majung and earned a shrug. "Well, I guess we just have to go with good old instincts." We started bolting down a hallway only to reach an intersection. Turning left I continued with an army of feet racing behind me. I continued down that path until I stopped at a door. Gripping the handle tight, I yanked it a few times but it wouldn't budge.
"Freeze! Hands and -erm- claws in the air!" I turned around with my hands in the air and a very displeased face.
