It was time to get something to eat, so I accompanied Ahsoka to the mess hall. We had stayed in the cabin and tried to converse as much as possible. Mostly she did the talking but it did cause me to get something out of my throat. I was able to talk again but only in whispers. Which was more than enough for both of us. And would come in handy sooner than I thought.
"She did what?"
Not this again. I sighed heavily as I heard the same punch line and stopped before entering the hall.
"What is it?" Ahsoka asked.
"I am not going in there," I whispered.
"Why? Did something happen?" She asked again.
"The moment I step in, I will be surrounded with questions and everyone wants to listen to the story, again." I tried to explain.
"Is it bad?" Ahsoka asked.
"No, just very embarrassing," I whispered.
"Oh, well we can come later when there are fewer people," Ahsoka suggested.
We were about to go back when we were almost hit by Master Kenobi and Master Skywalker.
"Let me guess, you are running away again when you heard that they are talking about you?" Obi-Wan almost laughed.
Master Skywalker kept looking at me a bit longer as he didn't recognize me. Naturally, that was because we haven't met before. More laughter was heard from the mess hall, snapping all of us to look in the direction of the mess hall.
"I'm not going in there," I whispered.
"Glad to hear that you can at least speak for yourself. But I'm afraid you still need to get something to eat." Obi-Wan said.
"I'm not in the mood to hear all of it all over again." I try to say with more anger but it hurt my throat.
Obi-Wan was certainly enjoying this. Ahsoka and Skywalker were both confused about what we were talking about, but soon Obi-Wan let it go and suggested that I'd come at a later time. I accepted that offer and left. Since Ahsoka hadn't eaten since she came, I told her that she could dine without me. After me leaving both masters and padawan entered the mess hall, hearing the laughs of troopers who now heard the story Cody told them.
"Oh, man. I wish I could have seen it." Rex said trying to calm himself from laughing.
"Well, I saw it and I still can't believe it," Cody said.
"Same story again?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Yes, sir. I couldn't help it." Cody said smiling. "Our guest didn't come this time?"
"Oh, she heard you guys and decided that she won't be eating and listening to her greatest act all over again. Her voice is back to whisper but I don't think she is ready to take the credit for the succession of the mission yet." Obi-Wan smiled.
"Aw, such a shame. I hoped Rex and the rest of the 501 could see her before another mission." Cody said.
"There is time to see her again. We have to make another stop to give a lift to Senator Organa as we are closest to the system where he is." Obi-Wan explained.
"Master, care to let us into the amusing tale?" Anakin asked.
"Oh, you should hear the story from Cody since he can't stay silent about it," Obi-Wan said smirking.
"Right, and the lady we just met?" Anakin asked.
"That was Mir'aida, the guest I mentioned," Obi-Wan said.
For a moment, Anakin looked confused. And after looking back to the corridor and back to his master, he just looked more confused.
"You said she was thirteen years old." Anakin blurted out.
