No one said anything and no one followed me. I didn’t just leave the room, I also left the whole ship. I paced a moment about the hangar and tried to calm down. Tears stopped immediately. I reassured myself that everything was alright. I hadn’t revealed anything critical. I just gave them hope and a goal to reach, the rest will be up to them. And I had also given them a heavy reason to get rid of the tapestries and hide me. Though I managed to reassure myself, my body kept trembling. I was restless. Since there was no one around in the hangar I went to a corner that had space and wasn’t in the view of anyone passing by.

I began to dance to myself imagining the song to which I was dancing. During the years I spent with my friends in the abandoned temple, I managed to record many songs of my people. I myself didn’t know how to play instruments. That was done by my father or my brother. My father wasn’t a good dancer but he played beautifully many instruments. My brother learned that from him. I enjoyed dancing, especially when my father played music. Ensinon had a couple of string instruments that he knew how to play, so most of the song had him playing the melody. Andra also played something but mostly she and I sang the songs that were recorded. With their help, I had now many recordings of songs that I could dance to. Some I knew by heart.
Dancing helped me in many cases when my body was restless as it was now. I could let go of the worries and my body unwinds. One downside was that some dances are meant to dance in groups. For that Ensinon build me a holo-projector that also worked as some sort of mirror. I could set it to project images that mimic my moves. I didn’t use it now since I just needed something to calm down.

“Wow.”

I stopped dancing and turned to see who was there with me. It was Ezra. He stood there a couple of feet away from me.

“How long were you standing there?” I asked.

“Just got here. You looked a bit troubled when you left, are you alright?” He asked.

“Yes. The very topic of the future makes me uncomfortable. It might have been better not to say anything but I had to also clarify the situation to you guys.” I said.

“Yeah, we agreed not to say anything about it. In the end, the future is constantly changing, well, according to Kanan. But what you told us would be inspiring to everyone. We will simply hold on to the hope that someday we will win.” He said assuring me.

“Thank you. It will be best that way.” I thanked him.

“We also decided that tomorrow we shall go and hack into the imperial database to erase anything regarding your work. Just to be safe. Sabine said that it is very possible, that no one has even read the file about it. She said that many reports that are written are rarely even read.” He told me.

“That is a good idea. I would have never thought of that.” I said.

“If there is any copy of your work then it will be gone in no time, once Chopper gets to work.” He said smiling.

“Again, thank you. I would be more at ease with this.” I said.

“So, … were you dancing just now?” He asked switching the topic.

“Umm, yes. I… I.. Do that to get myself calm.” I answered awkwardly.

“Does it help?” He asked.

“It does. My mind gets off of things that worry me and additionally, I keep up the very last traditions alive. And I won’t be forgetting any steps.” I said.p

“I heard that you lost everything during the Clone Wars, how old were you?” He asked with a hint of sadness.

“I was twelve and a half. It happened so fast that I can’t say how it happened. I was the only one left because my parents had a friend who was ready to help.” I said. “My parents just gave me two things. My inheritance right, which was a plaque of wood. And a book of songs and dances. The plaque was needed so that other clans could take me in but when I figured out that all clans were gone, I burned my plaque since there was nothing and no one to look after me.”

“And the book?” Ezra asked.

“It was falling apart by the time I got to Coruscant. When I left Coruscant, Ambassador Amidala gifted me the current book I have now. It was bigger and stronger. I filled it with everything I know of all four clans. Songs, dances, art, stories. Everything that made our everyday lives.” I said.

“You danced a lot?” He asked.

“Pretty much. Whatever reason we had to celebrate. Wedding, coming of age, a new baby, good harvest or merchant contract, whatever. We enjoyed every moment we had.” I said remembering every time I had danced with my brother.

We stood there a moment without a word. A bit later, Sabine, Chopper, and Zeb walked out of the ship and toward us.

“What are you doing here?” Sabine asked.

“Not much,” I said.

“I saw her dancing so I came to watch,” Ezra said.

“Really?” Sabine asked getting a little interested.

“You just dance?” Zeb asked.

“It calms me and gives me something else to do,” I said.

“Without music?” Sabine asked.

“I remember them by heart. And I do have a small player in my pocket.” I said.

“Really? Now I wanna hear,” Ezra said.

“Chopper could play it louder,” Sabine said and referred to the droid.

Chopper gave a few agreeing noises before I took my recorder and gave it to Chopper to insert it into his port. Chopper played a few songs while others listened. The lyrics weren’t in basic but in another language that my people used, Andra said that it sounded more to Sy Bisti. Having music now, I danced to the songs. I even taught Ezra and Sabine a few of the steps. Zeb wasn’t interested to learn any but he did clap a couple of times to the rhythm of the music. Soon Ahsoka, Hera, Kanan, and Rex came out too, and simply watched as we danced together. With more people it truly made me feel more happy than I had felt for a while. I danced some dances that Ahsoka remembered seeing me dance before. I danced with Ezra and with Sabine, even with Chopper. The whole evening was spent in a good mood. It was an evening that I would remember and carry with me for a long time.
