"Sh*t!" Molly called out.

Chloe looked up from the table and laughed.

Molly put the coffee cup on the counter and pulled her now hot and coffee-stained sweater away from her body.

Liz walked into the kitchen, still in pajamas and her hair in a messy bun. "Jeez, Mol. I know you like coffee, but I think you're taking it too far."

"Oh shush," she responded annoyed with herself. "It took me long enough to figure out I was wearing this."

Liz gave her a once-over, and teased, "Really?"

Molly looked at her housemate now with a rose eyebrow.

"Wrong side of the bed?"

"No, I just wanted to stop by Nick's before he left for work, but I'm not going to make it before he leaves."

"So stay the night by him, and you can get that goodbye kiss."

Molly ignored the statement and wiped up the coffee that had spilled on the floor.

"Go get changed; I'll make you a new coffee," Chloe offered. "Maybe you can still catch him."

"No," Molly shook her head. "He has to be out of the house by seven-thirty. That's fifteen minutes from now, and he'll leave a few minutes early if he can."

"It's seven a.m!" Liz half-shouted. "It's Thursday and we don't have class until the afternoon. Why'd you say it was time to get up?"

"Because I wanted to do something this morning," Chloe replied. "Stop at a café before class."

Liz sighed and asked Molly for a cup of coffee as well.

"Rise and shine, beautiful," Molly poked fun at Liz who went to sit at the table.

"Shut up," Liz grumbled.

"Someone not having a nice start to the day?" Molly continued.

"Go change or something," Liz complained.

Molly took her new cup of coffee and properly secured a cover on it. She went back to her bedroom and threw her sweater over the hamper, deciding she'd do a load of laundry when she got back.

She opened her closet and picked out an old navy green hoodie she had stolen from her mother a few years back. After getting dressed again, she styled her hair in a half-pony and put some lotion on her face. She was about ready to head out when she heard a knock on her door.

"Yeah?" she asked as she simultaneously pulled it open.

"Hey."

Her eyebrows rose. "What..."

"What?" he smiled.

She looked at her clock. "What are you doing here?" she half-smiled, still in surprise.

"Thought I'd stop by before I left," Nick explained.

She squinted her eyes. "Liz or Chloe?"

He pressed his lips together but then nodded his head. "Liz."

She covered her cheeks. "That's so embarrassing."

He half-laughed. "What? That you wanted to see me?" He opened his arms and hugged her.

She wrapped her arms around him in reciprocation and inhaled. "It's just that you've been getting back late the past couple of days, and I've been studying for that test I had yesterday."

"And you feel like we haven't really had a chance to see each other?"

"Yeah."

He looked down at her. "You're sweet."
