Nick drove his truck up with Dan, and Molly took her car up with Sammy. On the way though, they had to stop because Sammy had to use the restroom, so they decided to make it an ice cream break as well.

They all sat at a picnic table outside the shop with their cones.

"Sammers, it's good?" Molly asked as the kid had gotten chocolate ice cream all around her mouth.

"Yeah. You know what would be really cool?"

"What?" Nick asked and handed her a napkin to wipe her mouth.

"If there was a real house made out of ice cream and candy. But I wouldn't have the house anymore because I would eat it all in one day."

"You think you could eat all that in one day?"

"Uh-hum. Easy."

Nick stretched his arm over Molly's shoulders.

"Are you two married?"

Nick half-laughed. "No."

"But since Molly lives with us doesn't that make you married."

"No. Usually, people who live together, like us, are married, but not always. Molly and I want to get married one day though."

"When?"

Molly laughed nervously.

"We don't know yet," he answered.

"Why not?"

Dan put his head on Sammy's head and shook it.

"Hey," she laughed.

"Come one, take that last bite, and let's go wash your hands," Dan said.

Molly thought there might be an awkward silence but Nick dismissed the topic.

"Do you want to go anywhere special this weekend?" He got real close to her cheek. "You know when we have the freedom to do whatever we want." He kissed it.

"Why don't we just go with the flow of things? Be spontaneous."

"I can roll with that."

"You can roll with that?"

"Yeah. Isn't that what you want?"

"Yeah. It's just how you said it."

"Oh, I see." He kissed her cheek again. "You were making fun of me."

Dan came back and asked Nick if he could drive his truck and he and Molly could continue the rest of the drive together. Molly gave her keys to Dan instead and she and Nick drove up in his truck.

"What do you say we start our weekend a little early?" Molly asked as they started driving.

"What'd you have in mind?"

"Turn right at the corner."

"Are we not going to your parents?"

"Not yet."

Nick made the right at Molly's request. They continued for five minutes and then on each side of the road, there was endless green scenery.

"Wow." Nick smiled.

"Continue a little further. Okay now make a left."

Nick turned onto a gravel road. When he reached the end, they were greeted with a wooden dock that led to a large pond.

Nick parked and turned to her.

Molly winked and got out of the car. She stretched her arms out and looked around.
