Grace
The lens of my camcorder has been taking in the sights of Dublin all day. The museums, the parks, all the statues and buildings. What it hasn't been focusing on is Harry.
That's been an impossible task though since he loves the camera. He'll pop his head in to smile into the camera or he'll dance around in front of it. I probably should have thought of that before bringing the camera out today.
My dreams were full of Harry last night, but in such a weird way. It was like I was reliving my relationship with Jesse, but instead of it being Jesse it was Harry. That obviously happened because Holly's been convinced we like each other as more than friends, but it was weird. After that dream, I really don't see myself having a relationship like that with him.
I can't believe I'm even entertaining the idea of being in a relationship with him.
"Hey, let's stop in here for a round of beers." Elias says, pointing to a pub that we're coming up on.
We go into the pub, which is pretty packed since it's getting closer to dinner time. The guys lead us through, finding two empty chairs at the bar. Holly and I sit on the chairs while they stand behind us. Thankfully Elias is the one standing behind me, but then again that means Harry is looking right at me.
There's a band playing live music in the corner of the pub which sounds so amazing. This city has been so full of life, especially at night. Every pub has music playing and there are even performers in the streets. Last night the five minute walk back to the hotel turned into an hour because we were stopping to watch every live performance we could.
It's our last day in Dublin, but for only spending two days in the city, we saw probably most of the tourist attractions here. It was a good taste for when we possibly come back for a proper vacation. Tomorrow morning we have to be up early to take our flight into Paris. I'm so excited to finally go to Paris.
This is still only the beginning of our trip but at the same time it's felt like we've been on this vacation forever. Five days in, eighteen left to go.
Four large pints of beer are placed on the bar in front of us. The guys reach over to take their glasses, immediately taking a sip.
"So, what's your favorite drunk story?" Harry asks, as he not so secretly slips the bartender his card to pay for the drinks.
I swear this man has to pay for something every day or else he'll explode.
"Oh my favorite drunk story is Grace's 21st birthday." Holly says with a devious smile.
My eyes widen and my head shakes furiously. I'll admit it's a funny story, but not one to tell the famous, handsome man standing with us. But instead of listening to me, Elias begins the story.
"So Grace here, she wasn't a big drinker at all before her 21st birthday. She would drink wine, maybe the occasional piña colada while on vacation or beer at a college party, but she just never had an interest in heavy drinking until her 21st birthday." Elias starts.
I bury myself in my beer, the liquid can't go down my throat fast enough. This is so embarrassing to tell Harry.
Holly continues the conversation. "So, I throw her a surprise birthday party. We invite like a lot of people over this bar by the apartment but like, to the point where we probably should have gotten shut down by the fire department. Grace here, decided that was the perfect day to get black out drunk for the first time."
Harry turns to me with an interested smile, "This doesn't end well does it?" he asks, which I answer with a simple shake of my head.
"So she's doing shots, she's drinking mixed drinks. The main point is, she's mixing. Tequila, rum, vodka, whatever you could think of, she probably drank it that night. It was like she was testing out every liquor she could. And we knew the bartender so he was giving her all her drinks for free." Eli laughs.
