Harry
Mornings are my favorite. Especially with Grace.
This morning I woke up early, went on a quick run and picked up some coffee for all of us. When I got back, Grace was already up, sitting on the couch waiting for me.
I've noticed she tries her best to wake up early. I always wake up as early as possible to get started on my day, especially when I'm in Italy. At least before the kiss that never happened, she would be up early to join me on the couch. It made me feel bad honestly, since most nights I keep her up late. If possible, I let her sleep in as much as possible.
I smile when I see her, holding up the tray of coffees. "Just how you like it." I smile, before placing it down on the table in front of her.
"Thanks, I definitely need that." she says, picking one up to take a sip.
As she drinks her coffee, I notice her eyes drift down to my legs. I'm not exactly wearing the longest shorts, which has probably caught her attention. I try my best not to smile too much, not wanting her to feel embarrassed that I caught her.
I've stolen my own share of lingering glances, especially that day at the beach. That was a rough day.
"I'm gonna go take a quick shower and get dressed. Watch out for the door for me? I asked the front desk to bring some stuff up for me." I ask her, flipping my cap around so the brim is facing the back..
She nods slightly, smiling wide when I plant a quick peck on her cheek. "Okay, I'll keep an eye out." she says.
I quickly head over to my room, taking my clothes that I had laid out and jumping into the shower. I quickly wash my face and body, just wanting to not be all sweaty and smelly. Once I'm done, I pull on a short sleeve button down and some light, linen pants.
Back in my room, I rummage through my bag to find a little clip to hold back the top part of my hair. Once I feel like I'm ready, I head back to the living room to Grace.
Luckily, it seems as though what I'm waiting on isn't here yet. Grace is up from her spot on the couch now, walking around the room, admiring all the décor in the room. I sneak up behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist tight before kissing her cheek. "And how's my dove this morning?" I mumble gently into her skin.
She has an adorable little giggle fit, probably because the mustache that I'm growing is tickling her cheek. I take the opportunity to start tickling her sides, just wanting to hear her laugh more.
"I'm great this morning, Pearl." she manages to squeak out.
Unfortunately, she wiggles her way out of my arms, turning to face me with the biggest smile. "I hope you know I'm gonna tickle you back now." she threatens.
"No way. You're not allowed to tickle me." I smile, carefully grabbing onto her hips and pulling her close to me. God I wish I could kiss her lips.
"I'm going to. Watch me." she says, before starting to tickle my sides.
I can't help but laugh, trying to get away from her. Honestly, seeing this smile and hearing her laugh as she tries to tickle me is the most adorable thing in the world. I'd let her do this all day to see that.
She finally stops and I pull her close, still chuckling.
"So, I'm guessing you forgot that there's a program on most phones that allows you to translate foreign sentences." She brings up last night and the text I sent her.
"Yeah... I'm sorry if it was too much." I bite my lip, not wanting to apologize for what I said because I meant every word.
She just smiles a bit, shaking her head as her hands gently run up and down my arms. "It wasn't too much at all." she says, sending flutters all through my body.
