Grace
This feels weird. Being fully dressed in Chanel, having done my hair and makeup. I don't even feel like I look like myself. The last time I dressed up this much and put so much effort into my appearance, I got broken up with. Hopefully tonight doesn't end as badly.
I let out a long sigh, fidgeting with my dress and hair in the mirror before finally feeling like it looks okay enough. "Let's get this over with." I mumble to myself.
Holly's still in the bathroom, rushing to finish getting ready. She's always at least a minute late when she has to get really dressed up, but I'm used to it. I think the boys are done getting ready though.
I make sure I have everything I need in my new, unnecessary, very expensive Chanel bag. I'm going to make sure to hit Harry with it later. I decided against bringing the camcorder to dinner with us because if it's a really fancy place, I would be too embarrassed to take it out. We'll have our phones if we must take pictures or videos.
With one more deep breath, I make my way to the living room. My heart is pounding and I'm starting to feel like I look stupid. This is so out of my comfort zone, it's like I'm on Mars or something. I have to try and not bite my lip right now because I'm wearing lipstick.
Harry and Elias look over when I walk in. They look very handsome in their suits. Eli always cleans up nicely when he puts some effort in. It seems as though Harry's even helped him with his hair since it's actually done for once.
And Harry... God I didn't think he could look any more handsome. The sight of him nearly takes my breath away. I have to physically stop my jaw from dropping to the floor and my eyes from traveling down his body. The suit just looks so perfect on him.
I quickly realize that they're staring at me and I immediately want to run and hide. Elias has a smile on his face, but Harry looks like he's seen a ghost or something. I look down at my feet, not enjoying the attention.
"I have the prettiest sister in the world." Eli says, probably noticing my insecurity.
He comes over, giving me a quick, tight hug. "Thanks Eli." I smile a bit.
My eyes look back at Harry, catching him taking a lingering look. He looks away quickly when he's caught, messing with the hem of his sleeve. The fluttering in my stomach won't stop.
Holly rushes into the living room, "Okay, I'm here, let's go." she says. "Oh my god Gracie! You look perfect!" she gushes, taking my hands to get a good look at me.
"You look amazing too!" I compliment, smiling a bit.
As we're pointing out the little details on each other's dresses and accessories, Harry clears his throat. We look over, not expecting that, and when we see his eyebrows furrowed, we could tell he didn't mean to do that.
"Um, let's go so we don't miss the reservation." he speaks, before walking to the door.
Holly and I exchange a look, but mine is of confusion and hers is a smirk. My eyes roll as I walk over to the front door. As I walk, my eyes catch the white flowers in the kitchen sink. That was fun to explain to them, but somehow I did.
Harry opens the door, checking his watch as we head out into the hallway. I'm the last one to exit the apartment and as I do, I could feel his hand like a ghost hovering over my back. Once everyone is out of the apartment he closes the door and locks it, before walking to the elevator.
Usually he's the most talkative one out of all of us, and now he's barely said a word. I hope he's not upset with us that we might be late to the reservation. We probably should have asked how long it might take to get there.
