POV: Lilly
I sat in the train, listening to Sebastian try to teach Ciel German. We were headed to Germany for another case from the Queen. There were strange deaths occurring and rumors of witches and werewolves. I was excited to see the county because I had not been able to see it.
“We will be arriving soon,” Sebastian said making my excitement grow. I looked out the window and watched the buildings get closer. When we stopped I almost jumped off the train.
The town was small and surrounded by a forest. I smiled at the towns people as we walked and giggling when Ciel couldn’t get directions because of the language.
Sebastian had to translate allowing us to learn of the gruesome deaths. Ciel decided to go into the forest so he bought a carriage. We went to pick up the servants and my nurse.
As we rode through the forest Ciel and Sebastian talked about curses and witches. When Ciel asked my opinion I just shrugged. I didn’t really care for the stories of witches when I was a child and I didn’t care for them now.
“Look young master, I can see buildings,” Sebastian said as he pointed in to the trees. We rode into the village and got out.
It looked abandoned at first but when Finny started shouting women jumped out to attack us. I was lightly pushed behind Sebastian as he stood in a protective manor.
“Who are you? How did you get in here?” a woman yelled in German at us. Sebastian asked to see their master and they started to go crazy. They yelled “Death to the rats.”
I was shoved more behind Sebastian with Ciel as the servants surrounded us in a protective circle. They were going to attack when a voice stopped the women. A man carrying a little girl entered and the women began to apologize.
“I am Sieglned Sullivan, Lord of this forest,” said the little girl. My eyes instantly traveled to her tiny feet making me frown. They looked like they were bound and she was unable to walk and it made me slightly angry.
They told us to leave and how luck we were to have passed through the forest without being cursed. They were about to make us leave when the girl stopped them and we were invited to her manor.
As we walked we noticed how strange the village was. There were old torture devices everywhere. I walked closer to Sebastian and held a hand over my stomach.
The girl addressed Ciel as Shorty and asked his name and age. She then looked at me and asked me my name.
“My name is Lilly Regis,” I replied with a smile. She gave me a small smile as we arrived at the gate to the manor. We crossed a bride over a chasm and passed through a garden of deadly flowers.
The entrance showed two grand staircases and dozens of lanterns hung from the ceiling. We were lead to a dinning room. The servants were then taken to their rooms leaving Ciel, the girl, Sebastian, and I.
After an hour Sebastian went to see what was taking so long. Ciel looked uncomfortable when she started to talk. “What is the name of the black haired man?” She asked.
“Sebastian, my butler and Lilly’s fiancé,” Ciel replied.
“Where are your parents?”
“They died,” Ciel said causing the room to go quiet.
The quiet was broken when Sebastian and the girl’s butler appeared with the food. The girl looked really happy and started to attack the food. My eyes widened slightly as I realized that she was not taught proper manors.
I ate slowly, savoring the food. When I took a sip of the wine I realized that Sebastian had given me some of his blood causing me to look over at him. He gave a quick smile making me blush and smile back.
The rest of the meal was interrupted when a woman entered shouting about a werewolf. I gulped down the last of my ‘wine’ and quickly followed the group out.
