POV: Lilly
The smell of something spicy drifted into my room as I sat up. After a few moments I got up and changed into a pale yellow dress with white embroidery. The smell continued to fill my room making me hungry. I walked down to the kitchen where Agni was cooking with everyone.
As I watched them I couldn’t help but laugh a little which caused them to stop working and look at me. Agni’s eyes widened as he came over to me. “Miss. Lilly, are you alright. You should be in bed.”
I shook my head before speaking, “I’m fine now. Can I help in some way?”
A gloved hand was soon on my forehead. I looked up into Sebastian’s eyes as he removed his hand with a sigh. “You don’t have a fever but I still think you should rest a little more. Mey-Rin, take Miss. Lilly to the dining room.”
Mey-Rin took my hand and led me out of the room before I could say anything. It was quiet when I entered the room and several pairs of eyes fell on me. I took a seat next to Ciel.
“Lilly, your awake!” Soma exclaimed excitedly. I giggled a little and nodded my head.
“You were only asleep a few hours this time. You might be getting better,” Ciel said as the food was brought in. “Anyway back on topic, who is the woman you are looking for?” Ciel asked Soma.
“She was my servant ever since I was born. You could say she was a nanny. We have been together as long as I remember. My father had no time for me and my mother strived only for my father’s attention, paying me no heed. I was always left alone in the castle. But Mina was always by my side. She’s cheerful and pretty and she taught me a lot of things just like an older sister would. I don’t feel lonely as long as Mina is with me. I love Mina and Mina loves me as well.” Soma explained and I felt almost sad for him. “However,” He slammed his fist onto the table, “After the arrival of the English nobles, they took Mina way with them!”
I felt that I couldn’t listen to anymore so I began to eat and tune him out. I only paid attention when Soma got up and yelled at Ciel.
“I don’t. The meager feelings that arise from that degree of matter, I cannot and do not wish to comprehend that. There are some things that you can never get back no mater how much effort you put in. And there are some feelings of despair that you can never shake off. You are probably unable to comprehend that.” Ciel’s voice held a slight tone of sadness as he spoke. I stood as he left the room and I went after him. He was down the hall with clenched fists as I opened the door.
“Ciel!” I called and he stopped and turned around. When I caught up to him I wrapped my arms around him. “Lets play cards with Soma later,” I said.
He nodded and we walked to the study. His fists were no longer clenched and I smiled. Once in the study I sat down and Ciel did some more work. Soon my head leaned to one side and I drifted into a dreamless sleep.
