Chapter 30

POV: Lilly

Everything seemed to speed up as I attacked. My thoughts were filled only with attacking as I went after the Undertaker. The other two reapers and Sebastian attacked as well.

The attack went on and I only stopped when the undertaker revealed his weapon. My eyes widened when I saw the scythe and I staggered backward as images from that night so long ago flashed in my mind.

(Flash back)

-A few hundred years ago-

I slammed open the door to the ballroom only to stare wide-eyed at the scene in front of me. A large pool of crimson liquid pooled around the of my parents headless bodies. A man with long sliver hair stood in the middle of the blood as he looked up at me, a wide smirk on his face. In his hands was a scythe that looked like it was made of a skeleton.

I stumbled backwards in horror and bumped into my brother who had his sword pulled. In a quick motion I was moved behind him in a protective manor. The man’s smirk grew bigger as her ran for the window and disappeared into the night.

In a heavy wave pain over came me. Tears rushed out of my eyes as I ran to the motionless bodies in the middle of the room. “Mama! Papa!” I cried as I fell to my knees. The blood soaked into my dress as my eyes blurred and sound sobs filled the room.

Two arms wrapped around me and I looked up at my brother’s face that looked away from the bodies. His eyes were full of sorrow but he didn’t cry, keeping strong for my sake.

(End of flashback)

My eyes blurred as the memories filled my mind. I stopped attacking and my weapons fell to the ground. In that moment the Undertaker brought his hand down on the back of my neck and I was than meet by darkness.

POV: Ciel

The fight began and I stood back and watched. When the Undertaker showed his death scythe Lilly stopped attacking. Her eyes were wide and distant as she stared at the Undertaker. The second her swords fell the Undertaker quickly knocked her out and I ran over to her.

As I reached her side the Undertaker grabbed me. Sebastian attacked the undertaker and I was thrown and began to fall. Sebastian immediately turned to stop me from falling but was hit with the Undertakers weapon. Sebastian cinematic record spilled from his chest starting with the time he became my butler.

Our hands connected and I was protected from the impact of the fall. Sebastian was bleeding and slow to get up. The Undertaker approached us and raised his scythe again only to be stopped from his attack when the ship finally began to sink.

The ship tipped onto its side and Sebastian caught Lilly as she fell and held us both so that we would not fall into the water. He placed us in a safe spot and attacked the reaper with the black and blond hair. Sebastian quickly defeated the reaper and got us out as the ship broke in half. He put lifesavers on us and threw us into the water.

I floated in the water next to Lilly. The water was cold and I quickly grew too weak to hold onto the lifesaver anymore. My grip slipped and I sunk into the water only to be pulled out and placed on a boat nest to Lilly who was still passes out. Sebastian gave me his coat and began to move the boat.

As I was getting sleepy Sebastian got attacked by one of the dead. He killed it only for more to surface. I helped him into the boat and he used an oar to kill them. I quickly ordered him to eradicate them so that they would not go after the other boats, after Lizzy.
