Author Note

So this is how my life went for a while. School, play rehursal, home, food, sleep, repeat. When the play was over it went from "What's free time?" to "What am i going to do with my life." It took me a few days to write this because i wanted to hang with my friend becasue i didnt have any free time (I was spending 12 hours at school!).

Anyway im back and im sorry for taking forever to update. I hope you like it.

POV: Ciel

“Ey…… Hey,”

I rubbed my eyes, “Sebastian?” I asked.

“Whatcha talkin’ about Smile? I said get up.” The voice said and I sat up quickly, hand over my eye. I fumbled with my clothes and went to do chores.

“How cute Ciel. You can’t even dress yourself,” Lilly said when she saw me. She wore a tan skirt and a white blouse and her hair was pulled up.

“Don’t call me that here,” I whispered and she covered her mouth.

“Sorry I forgot that your name here is Smile. Do you want me to help you fix your clothes?” She untied my eye patch and retied it.

Everyone stared at us. “Dragon ain’t your mum, Smile,” my roommate laughed making Lilly laugh. “Dragon you don’t have to cut the potatoes, you’re a first tier.”

“I guess I don’t have to. I’m going to practice see you later Smile,” Lilly said as she stood and headed to the training tent.

POV: Lilly

I entered the tent to find Beast and her tiger; I think her name was Betty. “Good morning Beast,” I said with a smile when she saw me.

“I didn’t think anyone would be practicing this early,” She smiled back.

I looked over at the tiger and walked up to her. “I don’t think I’ve seen a tiger as pretty before,” I whispered as I held out my hand for Betty to sniff. She sniffed my hand and rubbed her head on it.

“You were the cooks daughter, right. Why would you want to leave?” She asked.

“To be honest I’m not his real daughter. They found me in the woods with no memory. I didn’t feel right there anymore so when I heard that Black was taking Smile to the circus I wanted to join them,” I smiled sadly to add to my fake story. “What brought you here?”

“Me and the other first tiers are childhood friends. We were poor and living in the streets. Each of us were outcasts for some reason. I’m missing a leg so I couldn’t walk,” her voice was sad as she spoke.

My eyes widened as I looked down at her legs. “I didn’t even notice that you have a fake leg. Unlike Joker and his skeleton hand your leg looks more real,” I said with enthusiasm as I examined her leg as much as I could without being a creep. She laughed at my expression.

“I think we will be good friends,” she said with a large smile. “I’m going to eat you can stay and practice if you like.” I nodded and she left.

I went outside because I would take up a lot of room and started to stretch. I did several stretches before picking up my baton. ‘All I need to do was pick a style of dance. Ballet? … That sounds like an easy choice. Should I start with dancing or fire twirling? Fire.’

I continued to ask myself questions until I decided what I was doing. I took a deep breath and twirled the baton. After a few spins I took a step, followed by another. The steps soon became leaps in different directions with a spin here or there. The baton took turns in each hand as I spun it around. I stopped moving and used both hands to twirl the baton at a faster speed before tossing it into the air. I held out my hand as it fell back down. It made contact with my hand and I closed my hand quickly onto nothing. I sighed as I bent down and picked it back up. I need to work on that.

An hour past followed by another and another. By lunchtime I fell to the ground in exhaustion. I wiped the sweat from my face and stood. After brushing the back of my skirt off I headed inside the tent where everyone else was practicing. Wendy saw me and ran over.

“Dragon!” She shouted. “Its time for showers us ladies get to go first.” She grabbed my wrist and pulled me to a fenced in area. Buckets of water sat around and there were folded towels on a bench. “You can put your clothes on one of the benches.” She said as she stripped her clothes. I slowly did the same and folded them and placed them next to hers on the bench.

She looked at me up and down causing my face to become warm. “What do I got to do to get a body like that? You got nice curves and I got nothing.” She sighed and looked down at herself.

“Come on. Your so cute it makes me jealous,” I told her and she blushed. I smiled and picked up a sponge from a bucket of soppy water and she did the same. When I was covered in water and soap Wendy offered to wash my back if I washed hers. I nodded and sat on an empty bench.

“Um, could you move your hair? It’s in the way,” She whispered and I moved my hair to one side. Her fingers soon touched a spot on my back in a ‘x’ motion. “You have a strange mark on your back with a scar in the shape of an ‘x’.”

I tried to touch the spot on my back where she touched. “I didn’t even know that. Odd. Do you know what the mark is?”

“The scar makes it hard to see so I can’t tell.” She shrugged and rubbed the sponge on my back.

A while later the bath was over. I put my clothes back on and walked back to my tent. My black hair fell over my shoulders as I removed the towel from my hair placed it over a chest. I ran a brush threw it and pulled it back. It was colder outside now that I wasn’t moving as much so I grabbed a coat and a scarf. My stomach growled causing me to giggle a little. I left and headed to the dining tent.

A small tune played in my head as I walked. Suddenly I was stopped when Ciel ran by, drenched. My eyes widened and I ran after him.
