Chapter 39

POV: Lilly

I awoke to see the ceiling of my room back in the manor. I blinked a few times before sitting up making the rag that was resting on my head fall off. It was slightly wet so I removed it from my lap and placed it in the basin sitting on my bedside table.

My eyes widened when I saw the burn on my hand. I checked myself for other burns and found several of them. There was one on my arm, side, and leg and they all appeared to have been there for a while. None of them hurt but when I tried to remember how I got them I kept coming up with a blank.

When the door opened I turned my head to see who it was. A smile formed on the redheaded maid when she noticed me sitting. “I’ll go get Mr. Sebastian, yes I will,” she said before running out of the room.

After a while Sebastian, Ciel, and a women I did not know entered the room. The woman was dresses in white and her contract symbol was completely obvious on her hand. She came over and sat on the bed next to me.

“How are you feeling? Any pain or dizziness?” the woman asked in a heavy accent. She examined the burn on my hand and arm.

I shook my head as a response. “I’m feeling just fine.”

A smile formed on her face. “Well Miss. Regis, I have some very good news for you,” the smile was beginning to freak me out.

She was about to speak when Sebastian took a seat on the bed cutting her off. He took a hold of my hand and a smile that almost didn’t fit him formed on his face. “Were going to be parents,” he said making my eyes go wide and blurry.

POV: Ciel

 “I’m going to be a mother,” Lilly said past sobs of happiness as she clung onto my demon butler. They both seemed overjoyed and their happy faces tugged at my heart. A small amount of fear filled my mind as I realized that they could leave me just like my parents did.

“Ciel come here,” Lilly said with one of her arms stretched out. I walked over to the bed only to be pulled down into Lilly’s arms. Warmth and joy over took the fear and I fell into the hug. Her hand ran through my hair avoiding the string to my eye-patch.

Sebastian had a strange smile plastered on his face as he stared at Lilly with the same look my father had when he looked at my mother. I knew that they would make great parents for their child.

“Excuse me Earl,” The woman asked as I pulled away to leave Lilly and Sebastian alone. “I was wondering if I could stay here and watch over Miss. Regis. As a princess her health and safety is one of my top priorities now. I don’t mind staying in the serving quarters but I would like to stay until after the baby is born.”

I nodded my head. “I’ll have Sebastian prepare a bed for you in the servants quarters.”

She smiled down at me. “That is greatly appreciated,” she said before returning to the room.

POV: Lilly

I wiped my wet eyes and allowed my smile to stick to my face. My free hand rested on my tiny baby bump that continually reminded me of the happiness that filled my thoughts. Sebastian sat next to me on the bed with a smile that almost didn’t fit him.

“I’ve talked to the young master about sharing a room with you. He said it was perfectly acceptable and that we may have this room if you wish,” Sebastian announced making my smile grow larger. I nodded my head and wiped my eyes again. “I have some more chores to do. If you need anything just call for me,” he said before kissing my forehead and leaving the room.
