POV: Ciel

I shielded my eyes from the bright morning sun. I turned on my side and became face to face with Lilly. Her face was soft and her sleeping breaths slow. She seemed to not notice that I was awake and I slipped out from under the covers. I sloppily tied my eye patch on when she started to move. She flipped over so her back was to me. I saw a small amount of what looked like blue ink sticking out from under her dress on the back of her neck. I reached my hand over to move the dress so I could see what the ink was but before I could she sat up and rubbed her eyes.

“Sam it’s too early. Go back to sleep.” She opened her bright blue eyes and saw me and seemed to snap out of whatever dream she was having.

“Why are you in my bed.” I asked her bluntly and she just looked at me.

“I heard you conversation with Sebastian last night and I felt that I needed to sleep in your room to comfort you.” She spoke quietly. She looked out the window and smiled. “It’s a lovely day. Would you like to go for a walk with me in the garden later?” She asked.

I sighed before I answered.  “I will be leaving to stay in my town house for a while. You may accompany me if you wish.” She smiled and nodded her head.

“I’ll go pack my things.” She opened the door and surprised Sebastian who was about to do the same.

“Miss. Lilly?” He asked as he looked at her she smiled and ran past him and down to her room.

“That girl was eavesdropping last night and ended up sleeping in my room.” I shook my head. “She surprised me when I woke up.”

“That’s odd. I did not sense her outside of the room at all.” He said and looked down confused. He than looked up and spoke “Will you be going to the town house today?”

“Yes and I invited Lilly. She may be safer with us than with those idiots.” I sighed as he handed me a cup of Earl-Gray tea.

When I was dressed I went down into the dining room and was served my meal. Lilly came in with her suitcase and sat down. Sebastian took the suitcase and left the room, but before he left he said, “I will prepare the carriage for departure.”

After breakfast we got into the carriage and headed to the town house.

POV: Lilly

We arrived in front of a small town house, well at least smaller than the manor. We walked into the parlor and were met by Madam Red and Lau. They were looking for tea. Ciel sighed and Ran-Mao ran to me and wrapped her arm around mine. She seemed to have a strange attraction to me.

After everyone greeted each other I was taken to my room and Ran-Mao stayed with me when Sebastian left. She kept me in my room until everyone said they were leaving. I had to drag her out of my room and into the carriage. She sat next to me and continued to cling to my arm.

When we arrived to the destination, which was a crime scene, I was told to stay with everyone else as Ciel and Sebastian went to see the body. I stood in the crowd and looked around. I found myself looking at a man dressed in a suit. When he noticed me he’s eyes grew wide and he began to approach me. I suddenly felt a pain in my head and felt limp. My eyes closed and I blacked out.

I awoke in the carriage as it stopped. I sat up from Ran-Mao’s lap and rubbed my eyes. “What happened?” I asked quietly.
