I called in a team meeting earlier that week. It was highly important that everyone was there, because this is where everything will be explained from top to bottom. I set up two massive cork boards beside each other on the wall behind me.
"As you can see, I sketched out this large map of the school." I circled around the map with the thin, long stick I got from outside like 5 minutes previous. "Michael you are the blue marker, Calum you are green, Aubrey you are red, Ri you are purple, and of course I'm the black marker. Here is how we are getting the the school. But first." I grabbed the cigarette from the table, and lighting it right away, exhaling, but mostly sighing from relaxation. "We get the keys." I stated. "And this isn't going to be easy." I passed the cig to Michael, who gladly accepted. "Riley, since you have the perkiest boobs and a resting nice face, you will charm Mr. Waters with your winning smile and good looks. Meaning that you will get his keys in his desk drawer."
"Do we even want to know how you know where his keys are?" Calum sarcastically asked.
"Calum, since you're in the same class as Riley, it's your job to send him out of the class to buy you time." I explained. "Therefore Riley will snatch the keys and blahblahblahblah, you know the rest." I followed the green marking lines on the map and the purple markings in Mr. Waters class. "Then that night we will go in through the window that is in front of the very large tree, and coincidentally right in front of the window." I pointed towards the window. "I need a lookout, outside on the school roof and outside the classroom."
"I'll do it." Michael raised his hand from leaning on it as he sat on the carpeted floor.
"Me too." Savannah suggested. I knew she wanted the least amount of participation in this, but she wanted to tag along anyway.
"Rad. Okay, then Riley or Calum you will have to switch the chemicals and I will tag the boards and spray paint the desk, and also log onto his computer to delete the email he sent to my mum about me acting out and dropping his class." I continued. "Then we leave before anyone calls the police, and we get arrested to tampering with chemicals underage." I half joked.
"I'll switch the stuff." Riley suggested. "Calum can help with the process."
"Sick." I smirked. I was getting so excited with the plan already and it was only a matter of days until then. "I'll guide you through it if you need to."
"And I'll take the roof." Michael said.
"I'll take watchdog then." Savannah hasn't even cracked a smile today and it was worrying me.
"And I'll do?" Aubrey asked. I completely forgot about another job, I didn't think this one 100% through, or as much as I had thought.
"Watchdog numbero deux." I pointed the thing stick towards the front entrance. "Michael may be on the roof, but he doesn't have eyes at the back of his head. You will be his back up, so there is a pair of eyes on both sides."
"What time?" Sav asked.
"10:45pm. On the dot, or your dead and this plan goes down with your reputation." I coldly put. "Meet here 20 minutes before and we will drive there together, in two cars."
"Why two cars?" Aubrey wondered. I thought it would be self explanatory by now, but apparently I'm not actually working with Russian spies, just my best friends.
"Because IF we get caught, we will have two get away cars. If we ever split then we have two options, and if you're the one left behind then that sucks for you, but at least you have a chance to get out too." I said. "Oh and when you come, wear shoes that are two sizes too big or one size too small."
"Why?" Calum laughed. He thinks it's funny now, but when we go to commit this crime, he will thank me for keeping his school record in tact, and not getting us all caught.
"Because Calum." I grabbed the cigarette back form Aubrey, who passed. I inhaled, and waiting to talk until I exhaled. "Because when we run through the mud outside the school, and then enter the school, and then enter the class room. Obviously we won't have time to clean it up the police will trace the footprint. But they cant trace it to us, now can they?" I waved the cigarette around, proud of my plan. "Oh! And stop by the shop before this, use the tester perfume on yourself. But a scent that you or your family members don't own, something you don't wear or ever would wear."
"Why?" Savannah made a disgusted face.
I was starting to get tired of all the "why's" because some of this should be second natures to all of these guys, but then I remember that they're not like me. They're actually good and innocent people.
"Because if we get caught they can't trace the smell if we don't smell like that."
"What about the cameras?" Riley abruptly asked.
"They're not 24 hours. They shut off after the school closes. Plus we're going in through the window and there's no cameras in class, but outside the school you will have to be stealthy, and do not get under a camera in the parking lot, fron entrance, and back entrance, or you're dead." I felt so special answering all of these questions, like I'm at a board meeting and I'm the boss.
"I honestly have no clue how you know that." Calum chuckled.
I leaned over to the window, tossing the finished cigarette out the window. "Tuesday." I smiled.
"Tuesday." They all responded.
"Wait, does this mean you won't be able to smoke during this?" Aubrey had a wide smile on her face. It was devilish, she finally found what would crack me.
I breathed in, heavy. "Yeah." I sighed.
"Why?" Savannah asked. She was a little slow and lacked common sense but we still loved her anyway.
"Because if they find cigarette butts on campus they will track all the smokers, plus it would be another felony that we would commit if we ever got caught." I explained, still a little chilled off about Savannah's comment. Of course I can go awhile without smoking the deadly drug, but that's only for a matter of time. I usually only do it when I'm stressed, and I know right now that it is going to be very stressful balancing this all together. It keeps me calm, it keeps me sane.
"How do you know we won't get caught?" Michael snickered.
"When's the last time I've ever been caught, Michael?" I asked, with full cockiness. I usually hate people who are over cocky, but I took pride in this. I was almost a master of break-ins.
"But heaps of people in a school, won't that seem suspicious, and harder to manage?" Michael said.
"Well I guess you're all going to have to keep up then." I smirked. "Now back to operation mister douchebag."
