My Pups Shield Me

CH. 24

Arriving at the dog park, Marie hopped out the car and headed to the back seat. As soon as she opened the door, Seth came fumbling out over Roman. "Seth! That hurt!" Roman pouted as he rub at his head with his front left paw. "Ha... Idiot" Dean chuckled as he gave a slight hop out of the car. "Oh my gosh, Sethy boy you need to be more careful!" Marie stated as she quickly moved to check Roman over. "Well you don't look too beat up pup. I think you'll be ok." She stated as she gave Roman a kiss on his boo-boo. "Let go have some fun ok boys!" She stated as she grabbed their leashes and lead them through the gate and into the dog park. Seeing as she has never had a reason to visit a dog park before, Marie quickly glanced around for any signs posted with rules for the park or anything like that. She really didn't want to have to ask anybody else who happened to be at the park. Finding the sign by water fountain, she quickly read over the few rules. Nothing too extreme, just basic things like clean up after your dogs/yourselves, only dogs are allowed, and a few other things. She was though pleasantly surprised when she saw a note saying that this was a park that allowed leash free play.

"Alright boys, mommy's gonna let your leashes off and then you can go play! Look I even brought a ball for you guys!" She took off their leashes and put them in her doggy go bag before pulling out the ball and tossing it. All three pups quickly took off after the ball racing each other to see who got it first. She knew that Seth usually has more energy, so she was secretly surprised when Roman can jogging back with the ball proudly in his mouth. "Aw good boy Rome! Want to go again?" She asked as she was already in the present of throwing it again. They kept up this routine for a while before all the pups got board and decided to do other things. Seth had found some other dogs to play with while Roman went around greeting other humans. Dean on the other hand decided to take a seat by his momma on the grass hill.

They had been at the park for a good hour or two before Marie was getting ready to call them in. She was starting to get hungry so she could only imagine the pups were as well. Standing up, she got there leashes out and ready. "Seth, Roman come here pups! It's time to go home!" In a split second, Seth came zooming over while Roman happily trotted over after getting goodbye rubs from the other humans. Dean slowly got up and stretched before letting Marie put his leash on. As she was leading her pups out the park, Marie couldn't help but smile as she thought of how good the day had gone so far.
