A couple of days after the breakup Beck had gone round Tori's to keep her company while her parents where visiting her grandparents and Trina was staying over a friends.
Tori had also wanted to make sure that Beck had been okay after the breakup.

"I mean I think I did the right thing." Beck said as Tori handed him a glass of pink lemonade.
"But it feels weird not being with Jade anymore, how do I know I didn't make a mistake?"

Tori sat down and adjusted her glasses.
"You're not gonna know right away." She said to him.
"You're just gonna have to wait it out and see if what you did was right."

Beck sighed. "I guess you're right but that doesn't make it any easier."

Tori gave a sympathetic smile. "Well then let's do something fun to get your mind off Jade." She suggested.

"Like what?" Beck asked her.

"Liiiiiiike." Tori said as she turned off the tv. "Watch all these crappy action movies that my dad keeps on here."

"Now that's something I can get behind." Beck said as Tori turned on the movie.

A few hours later

It was raining but Jade didn't care. Despite it being 3 in the morning Jade was completely unable to sleep and hadn't been able to for a couple of days. Initially Jade had suspected she was just adjusting to the breakup but this wasn't the case.
Her problem was Cat.

Jade couldn't get her mind off the girl and it was increasingly frustrating. She'd never felt bad about being mean to Cat before and yet now all she could feel was guilt over Cat's sad little expression. Therefore Jade had driven over here in the middle of the night to Cat's house to...apologise.

Jade looked at the house and saw the lights were off. This didn't stop her as she wasn't turning back around so she snuck up to the back of the house where Cat's bedroom window was and called Cat.

After a couple of rings Cat picked up and Jade saw her bedroom light turn on.
"What do you want Jade?" Cat asked. Her voice was tired and hoarse, sounding as if she'd been crying recently.

"Look out your window." Jade said and Cat opened her curtains, seeing Jade standing below and her eyes widened.

Cat rushed down, to the back door and opened it.
"Jade it's pouring it down!" She said. "Get in here." Cat grabbed Jade's arm and pulled her inside. Cat ran to the downstairs bathroom and grabbed a towel, immediately wrapping it around the girl.

"Thanks." Jade said to her but Cat didn't let her say anything else.

"What is wrong with you?!" Cat yelled as she pushed her.

"Cat." Jade said softly.

"You yell at me!" Cat pushed her again. "You cut up my pyjamas!" She pushed her again, harder this time. "And now you show up at my house in the pouring rain?!" Cat pounded on Jade's chest multiple times but got weaker and weaker and her eyes flooded over with tears.

Jade wrapped her arms around the crying girl.
"I'm sorry Cat." She said as she held her.
"I know I shouldn't have cut up your pyjamas, I'm sorry for yelling at you." She added.
"I freaked out and that was wrong."

"I just don't get you Jade." Cat said softly.
"Do you even like me?"

"Of course I do!" Jade assured. She was surprised by the speed of her reaction. Jade never thought much of her friendship with Cat. Why would she?
They'd known each other for years and Cat had always been by Jade's side and even though Cat could annoy her, Jade kept her around because...
"Why do I keep her around?" Jade wondered to herself. It doesn't make sense but Jade does care about Cat, even if she doesn't know why.
"What kind of stupid question is that?"
