A/N Only two more chapters after this. It's been an absolute joy to write this and too anyone that's followed this fic over it's almost year long journey then I truly appreciate your support. It's sad to see it go and I'm not sure how I'm gonna fill my time knowing I don't have this fic to work on. I really hope you've enjoyed and hope you'll continue to check out my works in the future.
"I'm going to ask Cat to marry me."
The two girls sat there in stunned silence at Jade's words. Hours could've gone by and the two would never have said a word, trying to process the sentence that Jade had just uttered.
Thankfully, before that happened Jade decided to speak up. "Are you two gonna say something soon or should I get a snack while I wait?"
Tori managed to shake herself out of her shocked silence. "Well sorry It just came as a surprise."
"Hell yeah little Cat's getting married let's gooooo!" Sam cheered with enthusiasm.
"If she says yes." Jade added, a slight doubt tugging at her heart.
"Of course she'll say yes!" Sam counted. "When you two got back together she called me and didn't stop talking about it for FIVE HOURS!"
Jade looked over at Tori who had a slightly more questioning look on her face. "You alright over there Vega?"
"Yeah of course." Tori lied. "I'm happy for you."
"Tori I didn't call you here just for you to not be honest with me." Jade chided. "I want your true opinion. I promise I won't get mad."
"Oookay." Tori began. "It's just, you haven't been back together that long, are you certain you're not rushing into this?"
"I know we're young." Jade admitted. "And we only got back together recently. But I've wasted too much time not being with Cat. The whole time we were broken up all I could think about was how much I wanted to be with her. And whenever I think about any kind of future I want, Cat is always right by my side. I want to spend the rest of my life with her."
"Okay but where are you going to live?" Tori asked. "If you get engaged wouldn't you want to live together?"
"Me and Cat have already been looking around for a place in the city and my dad said he'd give us a loan for a deposit and we could pay him back."
"And how are you going to pay him back?" Tori asked.
"Cmon Tori don't be a buzzkill." Sam booed.
"It's alright Sam." Jade defended. "I went through all this with my mom when I told her, I've already thought of all this. V and B have manged to get me and Cat a part in some summer showings of the Wicked musical by sending off those songs they recorded us doing. So that'll make us some money and that along with the showcase will hopefully mean we get picked up by some record companies or other Broadway producers."
"But what if the two of you get so busy in your careers you don't have time for each other?" Tori asked.
"That's exactly why I wanna propose as soon as possible." Jade countered. "I want to spend every moment I can with Cat, if we live together and are married then we can."
Tori smiled. "You really do love her don't you."
Jade smiled back. "Yeah I really do."
"All right." Tori said as she clapped her hands together. "How can we help?"
