The air in the cafe felt so thick you probably couldn't cut through it with the world's sharpest knife. From what Tori could gather it seems that both Cat and Jade had brought a date to the same cafe seemingly on accident. This, of course, had created an extremely tense situation that Tori really didn't want to watch but couldn't seem to look away from.
"Jade is everything okay?" Elise asked her date as she tried to see what Jade was looking at. As soon as Elise saw Cat sitting at the other table Elise was immediately filled with understanding and sympathy. "Ah." Elise said simply. "That's your Ex right?"
"Yep." Jade responded simply. Eventually Cat turned away, putting her attention back to Robbie, after a couple of moments more of glaring Jade reluctantly turned away from Cat and faced Elise.
"That felt like it lasted an eternity." Tori exasperated.
"It's pretty diddly darn awkward that's for sure." V responded.
"What're the chances that they would both bring dates here?!" Tori asked.
"It is very unfortunate that's for sure." V said. "This will not be good for either miss West or miss Valentine." he added.
After a few minutes of chatting Elise asked Jade if they should get some drinks. "I'll get them." Jade offered as she got up and walked ton the counter. Unfortunately Cat had also offered to get the drinks and the two made it to the counter at the same time.
After a moment of painful silence Jade was the one to speak up first. "Looks like you're enjoying your date." Jade said with a hint of anger in her voice.
"Well Robbie hasn't spent the entire time talking thinking about someone else's relationship." Cat shot back. "Something you haven't stopped doing it seems." Cat seemed almost completely different from the last time Jade had interacted with her. The happy, carefree bubbly girl was gone, replaced by the harsh and cold girl that now stood before Jade.
"Cat..." Jade said more softly. "Is this really what you want?"
"Well what I wanted was a girlfriend who thought of me before her ex boyfriend." Cat spat with a venom Jade had never seen from the girl. "But you weren't that were you?"
Tori made her way over to the two as a collection of eyes had fallen upon the pair.
"Hey guys maybe have this little fight some other time." Tori suggested."If you were so unhappy with me talking about Beck you should've said something!" Jade countered.
"Or just keep fighting that works too." Tori said to no one.
"I shouldn't have had to Jade!" Cat argued.
"You should've seen I was upset!""Well I'm sorry, but I was with Beck for 3 damn years!" Jade yelled.
"I wasn't fully over him so seeing Tori getting with him shook me okay!""We'll if you hadn't moved on then you shouldn't have gotten with me!" Cat yelled back.
"You kissed me!" Jade said as her words shook the cafe.
"You didn't give me a chance to get over Beck!""So it's all my fault?" Cat asked, her voice now small as a mouse, the heartbreak clear from the tears in her eyes. "I'm the bad guy here?!"
"Well if the shoe fits." Jade said with venom.
Cat made a sad noise as the tears cascaded over her eyes and she ran from the cafe. Jade felt a sharp pain in her chest but forced it down as she willed her expression to not show the sadness in her heart.
"Cat!" Robbie yelled as he quickly got up from his seat, shot a rage filled look at Jade and ran after the redheads
Tori looked at Jade. She didn't anything but Jade could almost the disappointment radiating from her. Jade instead just scoffed and picked up her purse from the table.
"Cmon Elise, we're leaving."
