1 month later

Christmas break had come and gone, and now everyone was back at Hollywood arts. Beck had ended up loving the gift Tori got for him, it being a necklace with a golden moose on it. Tori thought he was just being nice but ever since she got it he'd worn it everyday to school so it seems he really does like the gift. Things were back to normal and Tori was a complete mess. She'd spent the previous month reeling from the kiss she'd shared with Beck as once again it had just complicated her relationship with the Canadian boy. Due to all this she hadn't been listening to a single word Andre had been saying. Only snapping out of her trance when he clicked his fingers in front of her face.
"Yo earth to Tori! You in there?"

"Sorry what were you saying?" Tori asked as she snapped out of the trance.

"We we're trying to figure out what the 'special announcement' at lunch is gonna be." Robbie answered.

Earlier in the day, Sikowitz had informed the class that at lunch a special announcement would be made in reference to the end of the year showcase.

"Oh I don't know." Tori responded blankly.
As the group was sitting around the asphalt cafe they saw Helen make her way towards the mic on the overhead stage.
"But I think we're about to find out."

"Students of Hollywood arts." Helen began.
"For many of you this is your last year at this wonderful school."

"Isn't every year the last year for many students.?" Andre whispered to Tori who giggled.

"Therefore this year's showcase must be extra special so auditions will start next week. Pick the song you want to audition with and talk to Sikowitz by Wednesday." Helen continued.

As Helen walked away from the mic the group turned back to each other with excitement.
"Ooh auditions next week!" Tori said excitedly.
"You guys gonna audition?"

"Nah I still prefer acting to singing." Beck responded.

"But you're such a good singer!" Tori protested. She remembered the musical she performed with Beck where she had a zombie mask on her face most of the play. Beck had only sung a small part in the last sing but she remembered how soothing his voice had sounded.

"Yeah I'm fine when performing with others." Beck said.
"But I have no desire to sing a solo."

"What about you two?" Tori asked Andre and Robbie.

Andre shook his head.
"I'd rather spend my time writing songs than performing a showcase."

"And the idea of a solo in front of all those people makes my stomach churn." Robbie added.

"That's just all that Mayo you eat at night." Rex chimed and Robbie covered his mouth.

"Let me guess Tori's talking about the auditions." Jade said as her and Cat approached the table. Both of their hairs were a complete mess with their clothes looking crumpled and hastily put on.

"Where have you been?" Robbie asked the girls.

"Janitors closet!" Cat answered happily before covering her mouth with her hands, realising she wasn't supposed to say that.

"Why were you in there?" Tori asked teasingly.

"Just...talking." Jade responded as she adjusted her collar, unknowingly showing the group a freshly made hickey on her neck.
"Anyway." Jade said, changing the subject.
"You really shouldn't bother auditioning Tori, your sister has a better chance at winning."

"You know Jade I remember it being me who was picked by Mason for the platinum music awards." Tori countered confidently.

Jade narrowed her eyes, not expecting Tori to actually put up a fight. Unfortunately for Tori, Jade had no shortage of ways of insulting Tori.
"Well he was probably just looking for some weak minded glamour girl that he change the image of." She said back.
"And if I recall, more recently I was chosen to perform at the Halloween show."
