I recommend listening to if I could tell her before or during this chapter if you are unfamiliar with the song

Well should we get some filming done then?" Andre asked as the group broke away from the hug.

"Yes brilliant idea Mr Harris." V said excitedly.

"Miss West, Miss Valentine, why don't you pop on over to the filming set snd we'll get started." V said as he gestured at Cat and Jade.

Jade looked over at Cat, unsure of what to do.
"Yeah sure." Cat said as she began walking over to the set. It had been set up with a bed and one wall that looked like a teenager's bedroom, they were scheduled to sing if I could tell her from dear Evan Hanson.

Jade was playing the part of Evan and Cat was playing Zoe. Jade knew this and was coming but she was dreading it all the same. The lyrics talked about how Evan noticed so many things about the girl he loved but never said. This had become Jade's reality, there were so many things that Jade noticed about Cat every time she looked at her and having to sing essentially what she felt for Cat, right to Cat's face! Jade had no idea how she was going to get through it.

When they got set up on the beds and attached their mics Jade looked over to see Cat glance at her before quickly looking away.
"You don't have to sing with me if you don't want to." Jade said softly, making sure to cover her mic so the others didn't hear.

"Let's just sing the song and get it done." Cat said with a blank tone.

Jade nodded and gave V the thumbs up to indicate they were ready.

The beat started up.
"She thought you were awesome." Jade said. When discussing this song the other day V said said that Jade should change the pronouns so that it relates to the context of Jade singing it to Cat.

"She thought I was awesome? My sister?"
Cat said. They had pointed out that Cat did have a brother but they had still decided to change the pronouns.

"Definitely!

How?

Well"

The two finished the context part of the song and Jade took a breath before singing in order to prepare herself

"She said
There's nothing like your smile
Sort of subtle and perfect and real"
Jade sang. This line was completely true. Jade loved Cat's smile, it always brightened her day and made her feel warm inside.

"She said
You never knew how wonderful
That smile could make someone feel"

"And she knew
Whenever you get bored
You scribble stars on the cuffs of your jeans"
Cat didn't do this but she would always make mr purple dance around whenever she was bored in class.

"And she noticed
That you still fill out the quizzes
That they put in those teen magazines"
Cat loved filling out quizzes whether they were in magazines or on the slap page or whatever she always got excited when she got a result. Jade had never gotten the appeal of being told what type of person she was but seeing how happy it made Cat always gave her a warm feeling.

"But she kept it all inside her head
What she saw she left unsaid"
Jade would never dare telling anyone how much she noticed about Cat. They'd think her weird, stalker like, but she still saw them, still smiled at Cat's laugh, her childlike nature, all the things that made Cat her were the same things that made her so special to Jade.

"And though she wanted to
She couldn't talk to you
She couldn't find the way
But she would always say"
Despite being friends for so long Jade had never allowed herself to let Cat know how much she meant to her because if she did it would mean making herself vulnerable. Vulnerable to heartbreak when Cat would eventually leave. It was inevitable, Cat had already blown up at Jade and so it wouldn't be long before Cat never spoke to her again. The mere idea almost made Jade cry but she had to put on a tough face, too much was at stake if she didn't.
