2 weeks later

Talking to Beck a couple weeks ago had definitely helped Cat. She wasn't a hundred percent better but she was done making excuses and blaming herself for Jade's actions. If Jade couldn't focus on Cat instead of obsessing over Tori and Beck then that was her problem. But despite this, Cat still missed Jade like crazy. She missed her smile, her laugh, her lips, everything Cat had spent so long wishing could be hers. Which is why Cat was walking through hollywood arts, determined to find and talk to Jade. Cat wanted to try and work things out.

Cat rounded the corner to see Jade at her locker, Cat was initially excited but then her heart dropped into her stomach when she saw that Jade wasn't alone.

A few minutes earlier

Jade had been having another crap day in the crap show of a life she was having at the moment. She was just blankly staring into her locker when she heard a voice behind her.
"Are you ever gonna get anything out of there or just stare into it?"

Jade turned to see a girl she somewhat recognised but couldn't place.
"Who are you and why are you bothering me?" Jade asked with annoyance.

"Im Elise." The girl responded.
"You once stopped Andre from asking me out by making him hammer dance."

The memory clicked in place and Jade recognised the girl. She smiled softly remembering the event.
"Ah yes, a proud moment to be sure."

"Well i'm glad you did." The girl laughed. "Easier than rejecting him."

"Why were you gonna reject him?" Jade asked, while Jade had never really been interested in Andre was aware that he was easily one of the most attractive guys in the school.

"It's nothing on him." Elise assured.
"Guys just aren't really my style if you catch my drift." She said with wink.

Jade felt an odd flutter in her chest.
"Is she flirting with me?" She asked herself.

"Well guys can be a pain in the ass that's for sure." Jade snarked.

Elise let out a large laugh that was not relative to the level of the joke.
"So you're pretty, a good singer and funny." Elise said with a blush.
"You really are the full package."

"Yep she's definitely flirting." Jade thought to herself. She couldn't deny that Elise was hot but Jade really wasn't in the dating mood at the moment, and even if she was she really wanted to try and fix things with Cat if possible.

"Hey so I know this is out of the blue." Elise said nervously while fiddling with the ends of her hair.
"But would you like to get coffee sometime?"

She was direct thats for sure. And while Jade respected someone who didn't dance around their feelings she just wasn't ready to get back into dating.
"Look Elise." Jade began. Usually if she didn't want to date someone Jade would be brutally honest but for some reason Jade wanted to let Elise down easy. "Guess Cat really did make me go soft."

"I know you just got out of a relationship." Elise interrupted.
"So here's my number." she said as she handed Jade some paper.
"If you change your mind just let me know." Elise smiled softly as she walked away.

Jade looked at the small piece of the paper which had the girl's number and a kiss on it and Jade nonchalantly put it in her pocket, unaware of her onlooker.

Cat saw Jade put the piece of paper in her pocket as Elise walked away. Cat knew Jade well enough to know she was interested. The way she didn't just roll her eyes when Elise spoke, the way her eyes lingered that one moment longer and the fact she didn't just throw away the piece of paper told Cat more than any number of words could. "I guess Jade is moving on."  Cat thought to herself, fighting back the tears that were threatening her eyes.
